K-12 school districts who stayed with remote learning the longest during the pandemic saw a 13% sharper drop in learning losses than schools that returned to in-person learning sooner, according to study by a Brown University economist Emily Oster.

A new federal report shows that the nationwide shutdown of schools during the COVID-19 pandemic led to historic learning losses for students. The Department of Education released data Thursday showing that national test scores declined the most in decades.

New Hampshire lawmakers urged not to override Sununu on ivermectin bill

The Republican-controlled Legislature approved the bill in the previous session allowing pharmacists to make the drug available via standing order as part of an effort to expand the availability of the medicine. Ivermectin was touted by some as a remedy for COVID-19 during the pandemic.

Scott announces $57.9 million investment, creating unprecedented level of venture capital for Vermont entrepreneurs

Vermont will receive $57.9 million in federal American Rescue Plan Act funding to provide more access to capital for Vermont entrepreneurs and small business startups. Vermont’s State Small Business Credit Initiative program will include access to low interest loans and early-stage venture capital investments.
