Scott administration to continue policy briefing series for legislators

The Scott Administration will continue its series of briefings for legislators over the next two weeks on a range of issues that are important to Vermont communities. The briefings will provide an efficient overview of major issue areas that the Governor will prioritize this session and allow for an open exchange between executive and legislative branch officials.

On Wednesday and Thursday of this week, the Administration covered public safety, as well as climate and energy innovation.

Note: Due to predicted poor driving conditions, tonight’s scheduled briefing on economic revitalization and affordability will be rescheduled to the week of January 23rd.

Next Week’s Schedule:

Tuesday, January 17 – Housing
5:00 – 6:00 p.m. – Pavilion Auditorium

Wednesday, January 18 – Education and Workforce
4:15 – 5:15 p.m. – Pavilion Auditorium

Thursday, January 19 – Healthcare
4:15 – 5:15 p.m. – Pavilion Auditorium

Additional briefings will be announced for next week for the week of the 23rd, including economic revitalization and broadband.

Media Attendance: The briefings are open for the press to observe in person or virtually (you can request an access link by emailing Jason.Maulucci@vermont.gov). The Q&A portion is meant for legislators, but Administration officials are happy to answer press questions following the briefings
