Where the Hunter Biden laptop scandal story is concerned, it’s still crickets from the Vermont media.
On October 15, Vermont Daily published “VT media buzz about Biden computer = crickets,” describing the in-state media’s disinterest. Clearly Vermont readers are intrigued: True North Report’s publication of the story drew almost 100 comments.
One True North commenter described the problem in a nutshell: “This is a very important situation and the lack of media coverage means that we have to cover this ourselves, to get the story out as it unfolds. Or at least attempt to.”
Another person wrote: “The traditional US, Europe and Vermont media have decided not to mention the grafting and grifting of the Biden clan in Ukraine, Russia and Moscow….Is that the way the US people are allowed to elect their PRESIDENT?”

Despite reader interest, since October 15 Vermont Daily has found exactly two published reports (besides our own) on Vermont media, both op-eds. True North also carried a column by conservative gadfly Bob Orleck suggesting the Democrats may use the scandal to push Biden out of office in favor of VP Kamala Harris. Bennington Banner columnist Alden Graves dismissed the story as “manufactured furor” and “completely unsubstantiated allegations” that are “peppered with the same kind of Russian disinformation.”
The Banner column may be a “nothing to see here, go read something else” kind of story, but at least it was something – as opposed to the “nothing” of local news and commentary in other Vermont media.
VT Digger ran a 10/23 national Politifact “Fact Check” story on the last presidential debate that mentions Hunter Biden but nothing about the laptop scandal.
Fox 44 has nothing about Biden in local coverage. Its website carries national AP links disputing the Post narrative. WCAX carried a national headline on GOP senators ordering Facebook and Twitter to testify about censoring the New York Post story, but has had no local coverage. VPR, Burlington Free Press, Rutland Herald – nothing local there either. If you look hard enough on their websites, and on a few others, you can find a few links to national news.
There are many tried-and-true ways to “make it local” and maybe even contribute to the national story.Vermont reporters could dig into whether Hunter Biden or any of his many business partners and clients do business in Vermont; they could ask Vermont politicians who have met members of the extended Biden family what if anything they knew about the alleged trading on Vice-President Biden’s name; they could ask our congressional delegation what they think of the scandal.
The story’s been a live ball for almost three weeks. But so far, no-one in the Vermont media will kick it. The story has drawn fewer reporters than voters to a Joe Biden drive-in rally. Wonder why? And what other stories aren’t being covered?

Has there been a worse candidate in history than Joe Biden?
When this election is over, the books revealing what went on backstage will be illuminating.
But the truth is there for anyone with eyes to see.
Take Biden’s car rally in Flint, Mich., Saturday, with a star-power assist from Barack Obama.
Awkward barely covers it.
Obama, effortlessly cool, gave a warmup speech to the assembled cars before ramping up to a dramatic introduction: “My friend, the next president of the United States of America: Joe Biden!”
Moments ticked by, but there was no sign of the candidate.
“Joe Biden!” Obama repeated, a little less confidently. But still no show.
Obama tried a third time: “Joe Biden!”
Biden at last emerged from a nearby building and did a pantomime slow jog to the stage.
The worst part came later.
After Biden had shouted his way through a short teleprompter speech, Obama came back onstage, perhaps to escort him off, because Biden did not seem to know where he was.

Hunter raised over $1 Billion from the Chinese as a result of that visit. And the current disclosure by Tony Bobulinski involves the management of that investment.
When was Hunter Biden hired as a Burisma board member? That was 2014. Hunter was paid millions of dollars for his non-existent expertise.
When did Joe Biden brag about threatening to withhold a $1 Billion loan guaranty to Ukraine as a pressure tactic to force the firing of a prosecutor he did not like? That was in March, 2016.
How long has the FBI been investigating the Hunter Biden case involving China for money-laundering? They’ve had his laptop since December 2019.
And you, Mr. Freitag, are discounting these issues because they were raised ‘shortly before an election’. Who do you think you’re kidding?

Bobulinski Whistleblower
Bobulinski had been a US Navy officer, working on top secret aspects of fighting battles. He had the highest security clearance. He had to be a true PATRIOT to get such a job.
By comparison, dissolute Hunter Biden was booted out of the Navy due to drinking and drugging, and likely being derelict and dysfunctional.
Bobulinski was appalled by the amateurish way the corrupt Biden clan was dealing with Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Romania, and China.
He mentioned it to them several times.
Jim Biden responded with a “plausible deniability”
Joe Biden, obviously worried, told him “take care of my family”.
Then that corrupt Biden clan received $5 million as a backdoor payment from China, but they did not tell Bobulinski, who had a 20% stake in their venture, i.e., about $1 million would be due to him.

Host Tucker Carlson then played a snippet of an audio recording that Bobulinski said was part of the phone conversation.
“If he doesn’t come out, on record, I am providing the facts,” Bobulinski said.
“Ah, Tony, you’re just going to bury all of us, man,” Walker responded.
Bobulinski took all that as an insult to his reputation, as it would imply treason.
Bobulinski was upset.
Finally, Bobulinski decided, to hell with this, and went public.

If you ever wondered what “say anything” looks like in a political campaign, look no further than this video that featured presidential and vice-presidential candidates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. To me, they look like Janus. As the god of transitions and dualities, Janus is portrayed with two faces—one facing the past, and one facing the future.
Make no mistake about it, they’d shut down the country to solve “climate change” while telling you they won’t.
But they have been caught, in the past, Harris said during the VP debate:

Joe Biden Lied About Business Deals with China:
Here is a 7.5-minute video showing Hunter’s ex-business partner, Toni Bobulinski, saying Joe Biden lied about business deals in China.
A President Joe Biden would be greatly compromised, when dealing with China, because China would threaten to blackmail him.
Bobulinski provided documents and emails on three phones to: 1) the FBI and to 2) the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.

The owner of Burisma was in exile to escape those very corruption charges.

In 2016, the US Media, favoring Hillary, dug up all sorts of negatives on Biden, but in 2020, they do not cover Biden’s impeachable crimes while VP, i.e., sharing 50/50 with his son’s influence peddling in Ukraine, Romania, China, Kazakhstan, and Russia. Here is a summary obtained after some googling.
Biden Near the Bottom in Law School: Biden claimed he finished in the top half of his class.
It was later revealed Biden was near the bottom of his law school graduating class at the low-ranked Syracuse University’s College of Law (111 out of 141).
Biden graduated 76th out of 85 students.
Biden the Plagiarizer: Biden also admitted that he had plagiarized during his first year in law school.
“I was mistaken, but I was not in any way malevolent,” Biden explained.
The plagiarism tag would follow him into politics.
Eventually it was also revealed Biden had used quotes in speeches as a U.S. senator from Bobby Kennedy, John F. Kennedy and Neil Kinnock, a British Labor Party leader, without any attribution.
In a 1988 speech, Biden referred to “my ancestors, who worked in the coal mines of Northeast Pennsylvania and would come up after 12 hours and play football for four hours.” That line was plagiarized from a speech by British politician Neil Kinnock, whose family actually did work in the mines.
Biden Climate Plan: In early 2020, Biden faced plagiarism again when it was revealed his 2020 climate plan lifted some passages from other documents without attribution. The campaign corrected the error.
Biden the Civil Rights Marcher: In 1987, Biden said he marched during the civil rights movement, but some media outlets pointed out that was not the case.
“I was not an activist,” Biden explained at a news conference at the time. “I was not out marching.”
These controversies eventually forced Biden from the 1988 presidential race in September 1987.
Biden the Civil Rights Activist: Biden has repeated the claim that he was involved in civil rights activism during the 2020 Democratic presidential primary on a few occasions. And his some of the most awkward apologies he’s been forced to make involve the issue of race.
During his 2008 run for president, Biden apologized for referring to his then-rival Sen. Barack Obama as “the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.”
Biden the Racist: While campaigning in New Hampshire Biden told a supporter that “You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts in Delaware, unless you have a slight Indian accent”.
And in May 2020, Biden told radio host Charlamagne the God, ”If you have a problem voting for Trump or me, you aint black”, which sparked controversy. He later apologized for that statement too.
Biden Shot at in Iraq: In 2007, Biden claimed he was “shot at” during the Iraq War while visiting the Green Zone, the heavily guarded area in the middle of Baghdad where the United States embassy is based.
“Let’s start telling the truth,” he said. “Number one, you take all the troops out — you better have helicopters ready to take those 3,000 civilians inside the Green Zone, where I have been seven times and shot at.”
When asked for details about the shooting, a Biden campaign aide told the Hill that the then-senator was staying at a hotel in the Green Zone when a mortar landed several hundred yards away.
“A soldier came by to explain what happened and said if the mortar fire continued, they would need to proceed to a shelter,” the aide said.
Biden “Forced Down” Afghanistan: Biden claimed his helicopter was “forced down” near Osama bin Laden’s lair in Afghanistan. Turns out, Biden, John Kerry, and Chuck Hagel were on a Senate junket in Afghanistan when their helicopter crossed paths with a storm, according to reports. The pilot landed as a precaution, and a U.S. military convoy picked up the senators and took them to the main American airbase.
Biden the Coal Miner: While running for president in 2008, Biden told the United Mine Workers that he was a coal miner.
“I hope you won’t hold it against me, but I am a hard-coal miner, anthracite coal, Scranton, Pennsylvania,”
Biden the Campaigner for President: In 2019 during Biden’s Democratic primary run, the Washington Post reported that the former vice president told a fake war story. PolitiFact rated the story he told as false. Biden has dismissed the criticism.
Biden Arrested in South Africa: In March 2019, Biden claimed he was arrested in South Africa, while trying to see the anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela.
His campaign later said it didn’t happen after the U.S. ambassador who was with him on the trip said the arrest story wasn’t true.

Senate Investigation: On October 17, 2020, a letter from the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs requested the FBI provide information regarding the computer to compare its hard drive and the New York Post copy. The FBI refused to provide the information, likely to run out the clock to protect Biden.

The FBI had the computer during the impeachment process, which was about a phone call during which President Trump asked Zelensky, Ukraine President, to provide information regarding Biden’s dealings in Ukraine.

According to emails, the hard drive contains info that would have supported Trump’s position, i.e., influence peddling by Hunter Biden, which was fully known by VP Joe Biden.
Hunter arranged for a top Burisma executive to meet with VP Joe Biden; such a meeting likely would NOT appear on any OFFICIAL records.
Sure enough, the Biden campaign is claiming “the meeting is not shown on OFFICIAL records”
Joe Biden still claims he never discussed business dealings with Hunter, his son, even though the Hunter emails describe otherwise.
Why did the FBI not speak up during the impeachment process that it possessed EXONERATING EVIDENCE?

Sorry Mr. Lizotte, lately I have been paying more attention to the rapid spread through out our nation of Covid-19 and what implications it might have for our country, state, and my family and have not had time to keep up on all the breaking developments.
In terms of crime and politics I did however see today that David Correia, an associate of Rudi Giuliani pleaded guilty today to wire fraud pertaining to a business named (ironically enough) Fraud Guarantee. As part of the plea Correia agreed that federal guidelines call for a sentence of three years in prison and that he owes 2.3 million in restitution. Correia’s business partners included Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, who worked with Giuliani to try to get Ukrainian officials to investigate Hunter Biden. Correia and Parnas agreed to pay Giuliani a $500,000 consulting fee to work with Fraud Guarantee and Giuliani has confirmed he was promised this sum to consult with the company. Giuliani himself has not be charged with any crime.
In a separate case, Correia, Parnas, Fruman and David Kukushkin have been charged with illegally using foreign money to influence U.S. political campaigns to benefit their business ventures. Parnas and Fruman were arrested earlier in the year at Dulles International Airport attempting to leave the country with one way tickets. A trial date has been set for March 1.
There has not been a lot about this either in the Vermont media, even though these involve actual arrests and the recent guilty plea.

And, it seems, so too do a lot of other people and media organizations. Just read the NY Times, Washington Post, Wall St. Journal, Facebook, Twitter, and myriad other publications over the last 48 hours. The Fraud Guarantee story is published everywhere.
The question at hand, however, even as Mr. Freitag, true to form, tries to divert attention from it, is why the media is saying so little, censoring in some cases, reports on the Joe Biden/Tony Bobulinski connection. The Vermont media, with the exception of TNR of course, is still mum too. But, apparently, Mr. Freitag doesn’t care.

I think we agree that criminal conduct regarding political actions needs to be prosecuted no matter what party or persons are involved. Political corruption with always be with us and we should be grateful for a free press and the ability to weigh evidence in regards to alleged corruption. That said,
actual guilty pleas and arrests are far more newsworthy than untested allegations surfacing shortly before an election.
I also agree that as you said, we should keep in mind neither Giuliani (or Hunter Biden for that matter) has not been charged with any wrong-doing. Although there is far more evidence of a close relation in terms of Trump (actually pictures together with those charged with crime of using illegal campaign contributions) than any verifiable connections in any way with Joe Biden, there is in fact no real connection in either case.
It should be noted that earlier this month an actual Justice Department investigation headed by John Bash into “unmasking” during the previous administration recently concluded without any charges. A Republican led Senate Committee looking into the activities of Hunter Biden also concluded that there was no criminal wrong doing. The Justice’s Department review of the FBI inquiry into Russian involvement in the 2016 election by Attorney Durham is ongoing, but has not yet reached any conclusions.
Attorney General William Barr has said, “We live in a very divided country right now, and I think it is critical that we have an election where the American people are allowed to make their choice based on robust debate of policy issues. “We can’t allow this to be hijacked by efforts to drum up criminal investigations of either candidate”. It is anything but, as we so often hear, ‘for the children’. Instead, our children are indoctrinated into a one-size-fits-all social construct, controlled by an elite political class. Today, we see the culmination of this propaganda in the trend toward censorship and away from individual freedom of speech. Unless the education system is changed to promote a parent’s choice to send their children to the school that best meets their children’s needs, this indoctrination will continue.

My niece and her spouse, knowing all this, lived with the folks, saved up the money to add a beautiful apartment onto their home and they pay for the additional taxes and bills monthly for that- which are peanuts. They live in a beautiful home now, a forever home, the folks are thrilled because they will help with their grandchildren and they will age in place. They have no mortgage. It’s a win win for all. But young people need to understand all of what you have so clearly layed out here.. and young people with no kids don’t tend to pay attention to this stuff- and they must.
The best thing we can do is get this message out there so that the young people can plan accordingly and NOT Find themselves in a spot where now they have no choice but to enter their kids into that machine.

While some find a way to escape, most cannot, because the taxes funding the monopoly continue to increase (they never decrease), making it ever more difficult to do what your niece did. Meanwhile, the propaganda continues. Today we have generations of indoctrinated citizens and we see more and more of them each day. Unfortunately, I see no way to stop the juggernaut except to continue to speak out against it in the hope that we come to our senses before its too late. November 3rd will be telling.

And herein lies the problem. If the free press is allowed, yes allowed to censor information when they are supposed to be the guardians of freedom for the people, what does that mean? Under that circumstance we would have a media that has taken a side by acting as a Political Action Committee (PAC) instead of rooting out the truth for the important goal of educating the people prior to voting in a presidential election. So if Mr. Biden is elected because of disinformation and deliberate censorship and he is convicted of Anti-American activities by selling secrets or laundering money from foreign countries, should the media be charged with crimes related to conspiracy, evidence tampering, finance violations and a host of other crimes. It is my opinion that covering the criminal activities of a candidate is by itself a criminal activity when very verifiable evidence appears to be available to them. The FCC should immediately pull the broadcast licenses of these corporate news agencies until they act like the free press instead of an extension of the democratic party!

I had a TS clearance. The FBI visited my teachers, friends, neighbors. No one but an honest patriot gets a top secret clearance. And because I was in USAF and had access to information on nuclear weapons, including targeting and arming/launch codes I was constantly under the the USAF Human Reliability program. Get a speeding ticket, or DUI, or anything unusual and the commander wanted to know why and what you were thinking. — Bobulinski has to be squeaky clean and trustworthy. That the Vt Media ignores this story tells us what we want to know about media integrity.
I can second that. My functions within DHS required I have a Secret clearance and I well know to what you are referring.
Bobulinski, the whistleblower, had been a US Navy officer, working on top secret aspects of fighting battles. He had the highest secret clearance. He had to be a true PATRIOT to get such a job.
By comparison, dissolute Hunter Biden was booted out of the Navy due to drinking and drugging, and likely being derelict and dysfunctional.
Bobulinski was appalled by the losey, goosey, amateurish way the corrupt Biden clan was dealing with Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Romania, and China. He mentioned it to them several times.
