VT hospital ICU doctor vents against vax refusers

The University of Vermont Medical Center on Wednesday responded to inquiries about the hospital’s chief of critical care’s social media criticism of vaccine-refusing patients.

Dr. Gilman Allen, chief of critical care and a critical care specialist in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at UVMMC, wrote recently on social media:

“What is more entitled and privileged than refusing an effective vaccine because of your ‘God given right to decide what goes into your body,’ but then expect overworked and burned out healthcare providers to lay their lives on the line to intubate and prone you in the ICU, and spend tens of 1000s of dollars on [medications] as a last ditch effort to save you from a disease that you ‘don’t believe in”?!”

“Choosing not to vaccinate comes from a selfish point of privilege and entitlement,” Allen he wrote in a separate post.

The posts above were forwarded to Vermont Daily Chronicle by a reader and Vermont resident who commented, “like this makes me comforted to have my family under his care! And they wonder why we are worried we would get different care?”

David Chong, who also posted, is a critical care physician in New York City.

Vermont Daily Chronicle sent the first screen shot to UVMMC on Wednesday morning and requested a comment. In response, UVMMC public relations official Annie Mackin responded:

“Health care workers across the UVM Health Network have been doing everything they can for two years to respond to the ever-changing challenges of COVID-19.

“Roughly 75% of the patients we treat in our ICUs for COVID-19-related illness are unvaccinated, and they sometimes stay for weeks or months as their health care team does everything possible to save their lives. Every patient who comes to a UVM Health Network facility receives high quality, compassionate care from our hardworking staff. They are tired, but they continue to do their part. We ask the public to do the same.

“We know our best hope of ending this crisis is vaccination. We know vaccination isn’t a silver bullet against COVID-19 infection, but it is the best protection we have against severe cases, and it’s the best way for people to stay out of the hospital and the ICU, reduce the pressure on our regional health care system and give our workforce the relief they deserve. People who have not received a COVID-19 vaccine are putting themselves, their loved ones, their friends, neighbors and health care workers at risk.

“COVID-19 vaccines are widely available in our region at pharmacies, doctors’ offices and other places. To find a vaccine appointment near you, go to http://www.vaccines.gov or call 1-800-232-0233.”

UVMMC has been short-staffed during the recent Omicron-related spike in Covid-19 cases and hospitalization.

  2. Perhaps if they put as much emphasis on early therapeutics as they did on vaccination, we wouldn’t have as many people hospitalized, and many people who died wouldn’t have died. COVID-19 medicine has been politicized.

  3. It disgusts me that this man is a physician. We treat everyone, regardless of their choices. It is not our duty to judge, it is our duty to treat. Many are understandably reluctant to take a treatment that has not undergone the full rigorous testing that other treatments have.

    The short-term data is dubious, with at least 3 shots required within one year and even then, still being able to get and transmit COVID, and some still getting critically ill, and others having significant illness from the vaccine itself. It isn’t rare to the people who get them, and people should be able to choose for themselves if they want to take the risk of this versus getting COVID.

    What about the long term data? We cannot say, because it doesn’t exist! These vaccines were first created less than 2 years ago, and most similar vaccines undergo 7-15 years of testing before they are approved for mass use. Adding to the mistrust, Pfizer and the FDA are trying to delay the release of all the data related to the vaccine for up to 55 years(https://www.reuters.com/legal/government/wait-what-fda-wants-55-years-process-foia-request-over-vaccine-data-2021-11-18/)!

    Shame on Dr. Gilman Allen and all who think like him! Does he withhold treatment of the accused criminal who may have killed multiple others through violence and drug-dealing? How about the rich business owner who Dr. Gilman feels doesn’t give his employees adequate healthcare? How about the obese diabetic who didn’t eat right and live a healthy lifestyle? Or the absent-minded person who got injured while looking at their phone as they were crossing the street? If we let doctors decide who is worthy of care, where does it end? Such a man should not be in charge of a taxidermy shop, much less an ICU!

    • In addition to this, the International Criminal Complaint asserts that different vaccine lots have had widely different lethalities associated with them, and the allegation is that it appears that there was a coordinated effort to experiment with dosages.

      Yes, this may be all wild conspiracy theory and yes, we do have to try to maintain some objectivity and balance. But taken all together, if we listen to both sides of the arguments regarding our response to Covid and don’t accept the views of Dr. Fauci at face value, then nothing about our response to Covid-19 makes sense. We’re not off-base if we cautiously suspect that the Great Reset folks might be going to extreme measures to make sure that their own version of “the greatest good” gets implemented as soon as possible.

    treatment of the bio weapon Fraud Fauci and his commie friends released on
    the unsuspecting world… He might learn the fully vax’ed are spreading it sick
    from it and dying from it… it’s not the unvaxed’s fault the vax don’t work and there are
    drugs that DO cure covid crud… Shake the reins of the corporate compliant speech

  14. God bless our health care workers. They have been and continue to be overworked and subject to a great deal of stress. They really have been front line heroes in this prolonged pandemic.

    Maybe time to show them a little appreciation and to cut them a little slack when they speak from a place of frustration and exhaustion. Always good to try to understand where people are coming from and to walk a mile in their shoes.

    • Absolutely not. These folks have killed people because of their stubborn refusal to treat Covid-19 early using inexpensive drugs used safely for decades, for which there’s abundant studies and clinical experience testifying to their efficacy. Not only that but they’ve hounded and abused those who dare to save patients by using these protocols.

      I’m sorry but the medical profession as a whole should be ashamed of what they’ve done. They should be deeply ashamed instead of spouting on about how the unvaccinated are killing us all. They’re the ones killing us all. We could have stopped Covid way back in March, 2020. The medical profession put a jackboot on that despite that the protocol was extremely safe; they even fabricated studies to “prove” that this protocol was dangerous. It was outrageous, disgusting, and shameful.

      It’s high time that the medical profession wakes up from what they’ve been led into.

      Yes, I know a lot of good, kind, hard-working people are doing the best they can. But does that excuse this egregious abuse of power, and the killing of thousands through sheer ignorance, pigheadedness, and downright deception?

      • Judging by the results of Drs. Tyson and Fareed who had one in 1500 patients die from Covid, compared to the going rate in their area at other facilities of one in 33, then we’re not talking about thousands of people in the US who would be alive with early treatment, we’re talking about 100s of thousands.

        It’s truly amazing that instead of acting as if early treatment using repurposed drugs might work, the entire medical establishment throughout the world acted as if that were impossible. They fabricated studies and did studies using the wrong dose in the wrong patient at the wrong time to “prove” that these drugs were dangerous. When some of these studies were retracted, no one noticed.

        A complaint has been filed in the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity in the Covid-19 era. Note especially: “German medical profession and institutions were perverted. Coercive public health policies violated individual civil and human rights.”

        Doctors and nurses today are “just doing their jobs.” That’s what they did in 1930s Germany, too. We need them, especially, to wake up and see that the Covid policies of today are wrong and anti-scientific, and that purging the medical system of dissenters who refuse to take experimental vaccines is deeply wrong: this violates basic medical ethics of freely informed consent to medication. Purging the medical system of dissenters is also exactly what the Third Reich did, and they were happy to put up with shortages of personnel so long as the profession remained “pure.” Back then, we said “never again.” Yet never again is happening again and the medical profession is at the front-lines of it, just as back then.

        All this “stay safe” deception is just that: deception. If we really wanted to stay safe then we’d have taken the path offered to us in March, 2020, instead of working so very hard to suppress it.

    • Health care workers are paid handsomely for their “frustration and exhaustion.” My daughter is currently earning @ $4k a week as a travel nurse. She works long hours three days a week. Front line hero? The hospitals need people like her, because they’re firing the ‘unjabbed’. The “unjabbed” are the unsung heroes, because they refuse to be forcibly injected with an experimental gene therapy at the risk of losing their job. They risk their lives every day in upholding the Hippocratic oath i.e. ‘do no harm’.

    • You are kidding right? Uvmmc prides itself on inclusivity. This is grossly discriminatory.
      We have nurses and resp therapists that are physically at the bedside. Yet they are held to a different standard if they violate uvmmc social media code of conduct.
      Do you think if this was the aids epidemic of the 80/90 and Dr Allen expressed the same feelings against the homosexual men, it would be ok due to exhaustion?

    Many of those you’re treating and complaining about do indeed believe in Covid, and they believed in it before they got sick. The issue is that they mistrust the Covid-19 vaccines and you, as a doctor, should know that they have 100% right to refuse these experimental treatments because not one single vaccine in use in the US has FDA approval, as they are all EUA (the Pfizer Comirnaty vaccine is the only one with authentic and real-life FDA approval, and it’s not in widespread use.) Moreover, in a statement to Senator Johnson by attorney Thomas Renz, he asserts that DoD physician whistleblowers have found astonishing rises in serious conditions in the military after the Covid vaccines. https://www.theblaze.com/op-ed/horowitz-whistleblowers-share-dod-medical-data-that-blows-vaccine-safety-debate-wide-open You might also know that Pfizer has asked the FDA if it could redact data that the courts have ordered released on its vaccine trial, and if that doesn’t raise eyebrows regarding the transparency and the legitimacy of so-far reported data, then I don’t know what would.

    You complain about the hard work and $$$ you have to spend to try to keep these patients alive, but I suggest that you make a telephone call to Dr. George Fareed in the Imperial Valley, California, and ask him how he kept thousands of patients out of the hospital using inexpensive early treatment. Yes, of course your hospital forbids these treatments. But you might just be curious why his patients are living, and yours are dying. You can also buy the book he wrote with Dr. Brian Tyson.

    • UVMMC Chief of Critical Care Dr. Gilman Allen’s rant is disingenuous and dangerous. He demands complete faith be placed in a “vaccine” that has proven less effective than indicated by the initial trials required to gain the EUA for their use. He demands that in spite of less efficacy and reactions to this “vaccine” we blindly accept it’s injection into our bodies, regardless of risk or benefit. I would remind all that Pfizer, the maker of the only approved “vaccine” and the FDA will not release data on it’s “vaccine” and trials completely until 2076. Moderna and Astra Zeneca might be sooner, if they decide to comply. Why?
      He is of course, freely able to rant on social media as he wishes, while others with dissenting views are censored. Why?
      His ranting behavior certainly is not what I would expect from someone so allegedly esteemed in out society. Nor would I accept his employer’s reaction to his statements. His zeal for indicting those choosing not to “vaccinate” seems to cast doubt on his ability to perform his duties objectively. In another time, UVMMC might be looking for his replacement- but we are living in unusual times, where morals and ethics have been discarded to fulfill an agenda.

    Please, please ask them what they are doing for early treatment. So far every Doctor I’ve asked, says very little or nothing.

    Ask him what treatments he is not allowed to use too…..

    Ask him about the Math+ protocol, If they are using it and how it keeps 90% from dieiing and out of ICU…..

    Ask him is he is allowed to use any medical treatments he desires or is he mandated to only use certain ones?

    Are they using Remdesivear in ICU? Incubators?

    Please, please dig a bit more. Great job as usual.

    Ask him if he’s allowed to prescribe Invermectin……can somebody even get the prescription in VT?

As it turns out, people who have received COVID-19 vaccines 1, 2, booster and boost again – are putting their loved ones, their friends, neighbors and health care workers at risk, because vacinated people continue to catch Covid. He dances aound THE racial narritive and how Coronavirus is infecting and killing Black Americans at an alarmingly high rate, while never mentioning co-morbidity numbers of all ages and race groups. Hey, they’ve only had the pills to treat Covid a very short time.

    “But it may also be within my power to take a life; this awesome responsibility must be faced with great humbleness and awareness of my own frailty. Above all, I must not play at God”.

    Somebody forgot to mention that to those refusing to help a 31-year-old father who has been removed from the heart transplant list at a Boston hospital because he is refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

    We no longer live by the rule of law, but by the rule of administration. You can be booted out of a hospital for the greater good …. Go ahead, make your nursing staff (and truck drivers) leave their jobs because they don’t want to take an experimental drug.

    3. The experiment should be so designed and based on the results of animal experimentation and a knowledge of the natural history of the disease or other problem under study that the anticipated results will justify the performance of the experiment.

    • yeah–and what is the nanoparticle metallic cadmium, graphene doing in a so called ” VACCINE? HISTORICALLY, ‘ VACCA” means cow as in cowpox! HOW IS THE NANOPARTICLE CONTENT DISTRIBUTED OR EXCRETED FORM THE MUSCLE TISSUE- ANY “ANTIDOTES”?

I challenge any doctor at UVMMC to answer this question: How many of the Covid patients deemed as unvaccinated are twice or thrice jabbed patients who are, according to the CDC’s October definition of “unvaccinated”, declared unvaccinated in the 14 days following their last jab? It’s my contention that 80%+ of those declared unvaccinated are due to them being within that 14 day period and they contract Covid. This is a game of semantics, and I’m not buying it.

I feel like there is absolutely ZERO COMMON SENSE left in our small world…….and This is CRAZY MAKING …like 2 years of covid, vax, unvax, black, white, police, against police, art destruction (we’ll see it on ars in a few years!!), school destruction….manipulation, corruption and so much more to divide us…. oh my…….oh my………I wish i were in OZ!!
