Podcast: The history behind the ‘woke’ invasion of Big Business

By Jarrett Stepman | The Daily Signal

Why is corporate America increasingly stepping in to support “woke” social justice causes?

“These corporations are part of a movement that has been going on in the West and in this country in particular for the last roughly 100 years to move the culture very consistently and very aggressively to the left in order to more or less make ready the path for the revolution,” says Stephen Soukup, author of the new book “The Dictatorship of Woke Capital: How Political Correctness Captured Big Business.”

Soukup joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to explain how activists have hijacked and twisted the purpose of many of the world’s largest companies to serve left-wing ends, and why Americans need to be concerned about it.

  1. Go woke, go broke. Media and advertising. Nothing new in targetting the youth and manipulating them to spend money on hip/new woke products/services. Wash, rinse, repeat messaging is all the rage these days. Greta Doomberg is a good example of using youth to manipulate a generation into “buying” in. Problem with the business model is losing the rest of the consumers who are not buying into the fad. Sports franchises lost bigly as well as some businesses who went all in on the SJW movement. Not all consumers are swayed by temper tantrum throwing adult babies, obnoxious self-absorbed millenials, or entitled fools who think they are superior to anyone else. The premise of being coddled and protected by government/corporate control is lame and due to flame out when the dominos begin to fall. I find these SJWs boring and predictible due to their lack of critical thinking and common sense. Their song remains the same. They have no idea how manipulated and controlled they are or how robbed they are of their future for believing the unbelievable. The game being played on many these days is dangerous and criminal. Epic lies at epic proportions – that is government/corporate controlled media and advertising.

  2. It’s not really a problem because all private enterprise is going to be Nationalize in the very near future.
