The battle to protect children is underway nationally and in Vermont, as local parents protest the imposition of masks on their children while a propagandist from the now-untrustworthy American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) attempts to determine Vermont’s children’s legal rights using shoddy science.
As Vermont’s children are plunged into yet another ideological battle — in addition to critical race theory, anti-firearm indoctrination, terror about the world ending due to CO2, deciding gender and sexual orientation in kindergarten, and the need to open borders — parents are finally drawing a line in the sand: the Constitution.
It was once axiomatic that legal rights are not determined by technocrats or physicians — in fact, our constitutions were crafted to protect us against exactly such self-serving bullying as we now see. In their illogical terror over COVID, those seeking to coerce mask and vaccine compliance suffer from the delusion that they can simply ignore well-established laws applying to personal liberties such as free speech, bodily choice, travel, assembly, etc. We see this all around us, including overt lies about the law by inept or corrupt Vermont legislators.
The legal question is simply this: At what point does a disease rise to the level of danger that government can usurp fundamental rights? There is no “scientific” legal answer, except that said disease must constitute a “compelling governmental interest.” That’s an odd-duck standard when the government fabricates a crisis out of a disease it created and then lied about repeatedly. The AAP is actively involved in fearmongering and silencing opposition — cause for parental concern in itself.
The AAP had previously warned of the harms caused by mask-wearing in young children, of which there is ample evidence. The CDC also identifies numerous yet-unknown psychological harms likely to impact children from living in this time of fear. Now that the scary-sounding-but-more-benign “Delta variant” looms, the AAP has moved to demand all children and school staff be masked.
But this disease is just not very dangerous to children. Shall we impact 100% of children with unknown psychological harms for a disease that threatens almost none?
In the most recent AAP update, which included data from 23 states and New York City, children accounted for about 1.6% to 3.5% of COVID-19 hospitalizations, with about 0.2% to 1.9% of cases resulting in admission. The overall death rate among children due to COVID-19 remains low. The data from 43 states found 0.0% to 0.03% of all pediatric COVID-19 cases resulted in death.
How might the AAP justify this huge imposition for a disease that is so rarely dangerous? Fear. “However, there is an urgent need to collect more data on longer-term impacts of the pandemic on children, including ways the virus may harm the long-term physical health of infected children, as well as its emotional and mental health effects,” the AAP said in a statement.
The bizarre inconsistency of this “official position” is evident: are they experimenting on the ways masking harms children psychologically? How is the virus going to harm children psychologically unless kids are compelled to mask? Will it hurt them psychologically to terrify them with stories of death for a disease approaching a mortality rate of zero for children? How about the unknown longer-term impacts of the vaccine — has that concerned the AAP?
If Vermont schoolchildren are not masked, many schools are already sending them home, and it appears they will be denied distance learning services despite their parents’ taxes subsidizing schools. Vermont schools have a choice whether to heed parents or the CDC, just as they are free to decline CRT teachings — but if parents don’t comply with these mask edicts for children, the kids are punished by being denied a public education. This is using children as political pawns, punishing them for the perceived wrongs of their parents.
But don’t parents have the right (if not the duty) to decide whether they view masking of a 2-year-old to be acceptable? Well, of course they do, if the alleged offender is a disease with less than 0.03% mortality — that right is just being destroyed, along with many other rights, by thugs employing “make-it-up-as-we-go-along” science to enslave us all. Flu is more dangerous to young children than COVID — so where have the mask requirements been all these years?
Meanwhile, the over-12 children have an additional battle: pressure to be vaccinated with an experimental nano-technology that has not been fully approved but which the science-magician technocrats assure us needs no long-term testing. Blind faith in vaccines and doctors by terror-stricken cowards is what the Constitution vaccinates against. Otherwise children might be coerced by these ugly lies about both science and law to accept a dangerous and potentially life-destroying injection.
The most recent reported deaths include a 15-year-old male (VAERS I.D. 1383620) who reportedly died one day after receiving his second Pfizer dose, a 15-year-old male (VAERS I.D. 1382906) who received Pfizer and a 16-year-old male (VAERS I.D. 1386841) who reportedly suffered a hemorrhage and died four days after receiving a Pfizer vaccine. An autopsy is pending.
We know the government and corporations are immune from legal liability for damages caused by their new drugs. Is the AAP liable and creating a fund to compensate victims if its hard-nosed bullying proves errant? Silicone breast implants, thalidomide, and past vaccine debacles all prove that in fact human error is as ever-present a threat as pathogens. (The smallpox vaccine in England killed more children than smallpox — I wonder if the AAP had a chapter set up there to so confidently advise injections? — and that was for a disease that was truly deadly to young children.) When it appears the government unleashed this disease, it is small wonder that parents have less than full confidence in visiting technocrats who blather nonsensical drivel that threatens their children’s well-being, and physical and mental health.
The visiting technocrat from AAP, Dr. Rebecca Bell, presumably “rebutted” the examination of child death statistics via a non-scientific contortion: “I unfortunately deal with a lot of child death,” she said at the meeting. “It’s never easy, and it’s never OK.”
What does that even mean, scientifically? Is it OK to ignore CDC death rates for children in order to traumatize them with masks and risk vaccination, because Dr. Becca has “dealt with death”? Histrionics do not displace logic — at least not for rational parents.
Par for the course, this propagandist parading as a physician seeks to shame parents and portray school administrators as victims. School administrators “are just following guidance,” Bell said in an interview. “Yet, they are the ones that are having to deal with all of the really personal attacks, and this drain on their time and energy by parents who really feel like they could decide something different.”
Dear reader, do you see the elitist arrogance here? Parents concerned for their children’s safety “really feel like they could decide something different” — as if that’s a sin. In fact, it is their duty. Unlike Dr. Becca, they will still be with their children if her advice proves folly, om either masks or vaccines. Parents must make legal and medical decisions for their children: not blindly trust an omnipotent state to experiment willy-nilly unquestioned. Moreover, the CDC itself left this decision to be optional: this doctor’s hostility toward parents suggests even considering that option is somehow anti-science. With coercive science like this, who needs magic and mysticism?
Parents’ time and energy is being drained by dishonest fear-spreaders who lie and manipulate, while using children as both political pawns and medical guinea pigs in a psych experiment. Here’s a reverse concept in an upside-down world: parents who unquestioningly subject their minor children to masks or vaccines are complicit accomplices in systemic child abuse. There is no science to support these Draconian restrictions and harms, and all legal protections are being thrown to the wind, with the same abandon of reason with which the science is being abused.
Perhaps one day there will be accountability from those who claim such extraordinary power over other people’s children using false science, shaming, and an avoidance of clear constitutional law. I strive toward that day, and stand with all parents who very reasonably ask questions that annoy bureaucrats.
