Report: Jan. 6 committee hearings pushing swing state voters away from Democrats

By Harold Hutchison

Republican voters in Nevada who watched the Jan. 6 Select Committee hearings labeled them “reprehensible” and “disgusting” while becoming more supportive of former President Donald Trump, NBC News reported Friday.

“It might as well be impeachment No. 3 for Donald Trump,” Judy Cameron, a retiree in Reno and Republican primary voter, told NBC News. “This is their big push to get Donald Trump off the ballot.”

The voters in the swing state instead directed their anger towards the select committee, which reportedly has shifted its focus to persuading the Justice Department to file charges and to make changes to the Electoral Count Act, according to NBC News.

“It’s all political and designed to try to prevent Donald Trump from running for president again,” Tom Berenato of Clark County said to NBC News, pointing to the exclusion of opposing views by Pelosi.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to allow Republican Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio and Jim Banks of Indiana to be seated on the committee, prompting a Republican boycott. Pelosi later appointed Republican Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, both outspoken critics of Trump, to the panel.

The select committee held three hearings since June 9, and after the second hearing multiple liberal media outlets hyped the potential of fraud charges against Trump.

Voters’ views remained unchanged after testimony from former attorney general William Barr and former Trump campaign manager Bill Slepian, NBC News reported, noting that Republican voters dismissed the officials as Republicans In Name Only (RINOs).

The Republican Party chairmen for Clark and Washoe counties did not immediately respond to requests for comment from The Daily Caller News Foundation.

  1. This dog and pony show is the ultimate collusion between the leftist entertainment industry and the we-have-nothing-else-to-run-on democrats…a collusion that Mussolini himself would define as classic FASCISM.
The best that Trump can do now is to keep making fun of them, let them waste their time on useless theatrics and play kingmaker to our next President, Ron DeSantis. Trump will hopefully be happy to be an excellent cabinet secretary.

  2. The desire for power is one of the constants in human history. King George III when hearing that George Washington voluntarily stepped down from being President after two terms said, ” If this is true he is the greatest man of the age”.

These hearings are worth listening to. The witnessess have been primarily conservative Republicans who put loyalty to the Constitution and the oaths they took above partisan politics and the desire of one man who lost an election to stay in power no matter what the cost to our nation,

  3. Yes indeed a 3rd failed attempt to impeach the last legitimate President is not a good
look for the leftist nazi’s who can only get elected with rigged voting… Of course
this state full of uninformed leftist doofuses along with Hi are the only 2 remaining
that still support the biden potato head regime. Flatlanders ruin everything..
If Pres Trump gets his equal time he can demand all the video and text that’s not
being presented and show the leftist plot for the criminal entity it is..

  4. these “televised” hearing are such an embarrassment for the United States…….I have never in all years of being old enough to vote seen anything so crude, disrespectful, and obviously stage played. everyone around the world has access to this…..really its incredible. and i thought oj simpson on tv was disgusting…this beats that all to…….
