Curtis West decided to cancel his Florida restaurant’s NFL DirecTV package due to players kneeling during the national anthem.
West co-owns Beef O’Brady’s in Brooksville with his wife Janet West and said he’s tired of the “disrespect” being shown to the flag by the league’s players, FOX 13 News reported Monday.
The restaurant will save over $5,000 by discontinuing the package and is using the savings to provide veterans with a 40 percent discount on Sundays during game time.
The restaurant owner made up posters to announce the news. The poster read:
“Beef O’Brady’s will not be financially supporting the NFL this year due to their lack of compassion and gratitude for our American service members. Our National Anthem is one of the methods we as American citizens have always used to show our appreciation to all military service members, past or present, alive or dead. This tradition deserves respect and unfortunately, the NFL does not feel that same way. So, for this season, we will not be purchasing the NFL ticket. Perhaps, it will make a difference if it hits their wallets.”
“This is what we are doing, this is the stance we take, and the money we would’ve spent, we are going to spend on our vets,” he told FOX 13.
Curtis West also said he will show the local market NFL games on the major networks because he won’t have to pay extra for them.
“We are proud to support our troops, we don’t kneel, and thank you for your service,” he concluded. “It’s a big deal to us.”

Protest if you want, but do it on your own time !!
All ticket holders need to miss a few games to show the owners where the money really is !!
Cancel all your NFL Sports package on cable, these goons will come around as soon as they
feel the heat from the Owners. Money Talks.
Happy day and congratulations. It’s time to show our disrespect for these idiots who wouldn’t be making beans if it weren’t for the USA and the NFL. We can push back just as well.
