House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has described climate change as an “existential crisis,” spent half a million dollars on private jets over the course of a 10-month period ending in August 2021, government filings showed.

Pelosi’s campaign spent more than $502,000 on private aviation between October 2020 and August 2021, the Federal Election Commission data showed, Fox News first reported. The latest private jet expenditure was reported in August when her campaign paid the Virginia-based company Advanced Aviation Team $67,604.

“The verdict of science is clear: climate change is real, and its consequences are undeniable,” a page on Pelosi’s official website states. “Rising seas, savage droughts, devastating wildfires and increasingly extreme and unpredictable weather patterns are impacting every nation on every continent – and communities across America are already feeling the effects.”

“Democrats know that combatting the existential threat of the climate crisis is a public health decision to safeguard our clean air and clean water; an economic decision to create jobs and ensure America’s global preeminence in green technology; a national security decision to prevent global instability; and a moral decision to be good stewards of God’s creation,” Pelosi’s website says.

Private jets emit 5-14 times more carbon pollution than commercial planes and 50 times more than trains, according to a May 2021 analysis from the European clean energy advocacy group Transport & Environment. In one hour of private jet travel, two tons of carbon is emitted, equivalent to a quarter of the annual amount emitted per European citizen.

Just 1% of all people are responsible for 50% of global aviation emissions, the report concluded.

In November 2021, Pelosi, several other House Democrats and multiple Biden administration officials flew to Scotland for the United Nations COP26 climate conference. They were joined by global counterparts who crafted a climate deal that fell far short of environmental activists’ expectations.

“Addressing the rapidly changing climate is a matter of justice and equality, with the most vulnerable most affected,” the top House Democrat said during her remarks at the conference.

White House climate czar John Kerry, one of the officials who jetted to COP26, has also been criticized for his private plane usage. But Kerry previously explained that his private jet use was permissible since he offsets his carbon emissions while traveling around the world to “win this battle,” Forbes reported.

Pelosi’s office and her campaign didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.

  1. Can you imagine going to your ‘lifter’ and saying, “I want a look that says both total surprise, and I know better than you – you know that look?”
Is there any part of her that is real?
We’re run by a bunch of robots and puppets.
But first we have to admit it.

  2. Being such a devout climate warrior I’m shocked she’s not flying on her broom as all
the other witches doo…. The richer they are the bigger hypocrites they become.. was
reading a article where Bezos want’s the Dutch to remove a 140 yr old bridge so his
super yacht can get into the harbor… and they all buy sea shore property even though
they insist the oceans are rising..

  3. All these elites pushing global warming and telling us what to do to save the world,
when they fly & boat around destroying it, and we are the bad people, Hypocrites to
say the least and fools listen to them and follow their rhetoric….suckers !!

Now take Vermont’s Global Warming ” Net Zero ” initiative, and its goal to be net-zero by
    2030, you could take a hundred ” Vermont’s ” and be net-zero tomorrow, and it wouldn’t
make a difference, California spews more pollutants in a month than the state of VT will
do in 10 years……Let’s not forget China, Russia, India just to name a few of the real and
dangerous violators, but the current administration is in bed with them and will not reign
them in, but we know why but every US citizen’s will have to pay the price, what a shame !!

  4. Waterfront mansions, Al Gore included, heated swimming pools, ocean liner sized yachts, private jets to exotic locations to talk about increasing your taxes and raising your energy costs (been to a gas station lately)? Do you seriously think these charlatans are afraid of the climate changing, never mind by human agency (about which there is considerable doubt)? They want to eliminate your heating oil costs by replacing your heating oil with their pinwheel generators. How many of those AGW promoter mansions do you think are without automatic backup generators? Pelosi won’t be around long enough for the “rapidly changing climate” which isn’t. Weather patterns are shifting; they always have been. There were forests in the Arctic. It still snows in London and Manhattan is still above water.
Ottmar Edenhofer, co-chair of working group 3 of the IPCC: “[…] One must say clearly that we redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy. […] One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore.”
