U.S. Rep. Peter Welch, D-Vt., has been appointed to the U.S. House Intelligence Committee, putting him in the middle of that committee’s probe into suspected ties between Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and Russia.
The appointment, announced by Welch and by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., raises the Norwich Democrat’s national profile as well as giving him a significant part in a possible presidential impeachment drama.
The Intelligence Committee oversees 17 federal intelligence agencies and offices, including the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and intelligence functions within the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Justice, State and Energy. It’s chaired by U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., the committee’s previous ranking member.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve at such a momentous time in our nation’s history,” Welch said in a prepared statement issued by his office. “This committee serves as a steward for the American people in overseeing the country’s most sensitive intelligence programs.”

Welch and intelligence is an oxymoron
Leaky Leahy was also on the Intelligence Committee in the Senate and got drummed off do to his Leaking security info. Now Welch is on a Intelligence Committee. Both Dems. The Dem elite in Congress picks these individuals. What does that tell you about the Intelligence of the Dem leaders in their choice of people? DUH! Someone must owe someone, Quid pro quo.
I had been getting emails from Welch, then they stopped. Contacted him and they said I wasn’t a VT resident—huh? I blasted them. Hell I get email up dates from Matt Gaetz R-Pensacola FL, a great guy with no problem. I like to keep up to date from the Rep point of view. Welch can go to H—, the Springfield MA self serving hypocrite. There are many Politicians that will send you their email updates, but not VT.
So we have ” Socialist Sanders ” running around the country, trying to ” pretend ” he’s not going
to run in 2020 !!, just more BS from the master.
Now we have Rep Welch on House Intelligence Committee, with a committee’s probe into the
” suspected ” ties between Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and Russia, it’s about
time to move on……………. What are our two buffoons doing for Vermont ??
Haven’t we wasted enough money on the Meuller Probe, for the same issue, we have known since the day one it’s all politics, the Left Hates the President so get what you can…….Anything !!

Peter Welch on the Intelligence Committee – Isn’t that an oxymoron?
Peter Welch is a disgrace to the people in the state of Vermont…
He continually belittles a president that has done so much for America and the American people by creating jobs, bringing back Manufacturing, cutting taxes and making Americans safer.
I find it disgusting that Peter Welch, Pat Leahy and Bernie Sanders refuse to answer questions from a voter in the State of Vermont when I have submitted questions to be answered.
I am very disappointed that these three are willing to put Americans at risk by speaking out against funding a border wall that they know based on actual information from the countries that have built walls that work very well.
It is costing Americans 150 BILLION DOLLARS a year to pay for illegal immigration.
We have homeless and veterans and elderly in America that are living hand to mouth…WE should be helping Americans first.
Put up the 5 BILLION DOLLARS and build the wall…protect America…
Put a stop to illegal immigration and illegal voting.
Why do you protect illegal immigrants and sacrifice the security of the USA?
