Video Commentary: Vermont climate alarmists push oppressive new law

The mandated emissions goal we discuss in this show, as detailed in H.688, just was made even worse. The Vermont House of Representatives passed the Global Warming Solutions Act on Feb. 20.

  1. The progs only believe in their science and parroting what they have been told. The speculators behind the renewable energy movement employ professional propagandists to generate the SPIN that their followers blindly accept as truth. This comment isn’t about doubting climate change. It’s about interpreting the research, to generate a money making cause, while enslaving the citizens of Vermont. BTW, if gun laws are passed and all guns are confiscated, then Vermonters won’t be able to defend themselves against an oppressive government. Remember, revolutions start with oppression, that when it becomes intolerable, ignites violence.

  2. LIberals The Sky is Falling, The Sky is falling rhetoric, you can see that we have a
gaggle of legislators, legislating for an ” Agenda ” and not the people, hit them with
facts, facts that they can’t defend or won’t ??

As stated above, VERMONT could be ” Zero Emission ” Tomorrow and it still would not
amount to nothing on the full scale, other than make Liberals feel they accomplished
something in the agenda-driven nonsense !!……maybe they’ll sleep better.

Vermont has or is one of the cleanest states in the union. If liberal want to do something
that will really help, ” Plant A Tree ” or maintain our forest …..Why

FACT: A 100-foot tree, 18 inches diameter at its base, produces 6,000 pounds of oxygen
“On average, one tree produces nearly 260 pounds of oxygen each year

Vermont’s ” Green Mountains” produce the clean air we breathe, Liberals choke the life
out of Vermonters with nonsense………….. Wake up, people !!

  4. For the umpteenth time, if Vermont went to zero emissions tomorrow, absolutely nothing climate wise would change. The climate sky is falling alarmists will succeed in chasing the good folks and businesses out of state leaving them to deal with the ashes they have created.

  5. This is an obsession, fueled by the confiscation of property rights, with the intent of inflicting a socialist ideology, it’s not just about the money to the wizard behind the curtain. You can follow the money if you like, but that may only uncover greed by those taking advantage of an opportunity!

Observe who is taking your property rights, they will lead you to where the wizard lives!

  6. Vermont is just a fly on an elephants ass.

Would the world be saved if that fly became a flea, or a gnat?

  7. Oh, but we have to try something. Doing nothing is the worst of all worlds, right? Well, who says? Who’s willing to put their own money where their mouth is?

It’s called the Vermont Global Warming Solutions Act of 2020. Do the cosponsors claim that enacting this legislation guarantees that all industrialized countries will cut their emissions to net zero by 2050 if the act is passed? That’s what a ‘Solution’ is isn’t it? Solving a problem? That’s what the text of this act says it will do.

Article 9 of the Vermont Constitution states that: “… previous to any law being made to raise a tax, the purpose for which it is to be raised ought to appear evident to the Legislature to be of more service to community than the money would be if not collected.”

What if, after passing this act, CO2 emissions in all industrialized country don’t reach net zero by 2050? Is there a specified penalty these legislators must pay for breaching their contract with Vermont taxpayers? Can we make them buy a performance bond…with their own money?

I know I don’t have a policy that guaranties CO2 emissions anywhere will reach net zero at any time. But I’m not selling this pig in a poke. And I don’t want to buy it either. What happens when this ‘Solution’ the legislature is selling proves to be less about solving a problem and more about making a ‘liquid’…. as Mr. Frenier said, like Kool-Aid?
