Vermont vax and mask mandate foes to hold rallies

A growing number of Vermonters opposed to vax and mask mandates and Critical Race Theory will peaceably assemble Saturday Oct. 16 and Saturday Oct. 23.

Last Saturday in Rome, an estimated crowd of 10,000 people opposed to vax mandates stormed the Italian prime minister’s office. A week ago Monday, a large NYC crowd protested the vaccine mandate imposed on teachers and the Covid crackdown in Australia.

Health Choice Vermont will hold a second march in protest of vax and mask mandates Saturday, Oct. 16 in South Burlington.

The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

The second Peaceful March for Medical Freedom will gather near Staples, 861 Williston Rd, South Burlington at 10:30 am. The march, 11 am – pm, will be held rain or shine. On Oct. 2 concerned Vermonters from all walks of life held banners and marched peacefully. Despite the cold rain and wind, over 100 people attended.

Organizer Health Choice Vermont said marchers’ concerns include medical mandates despite proven natural immunity, the vast financial rewards (and punishments) being handed out by the mandate-enforcing government, and the desire of many to keep both freedom in health care and their job.

“Please join us on Saturday, October 16th in Burlington as we unite for freedom, and stand up in peaceful resistance against medical coercion and mandates,” Health Choice Vermont said in a statement. “We will march once again in support of health and medical freedom, bodily autonomy and informed consent.”

The following Saturday, Oct. 23, an umbrella group of school mandate opponents will gather on the lawn of the Vermont State House to Rally for “No Mask, No Vac-Jab, No CRT Equity, No K-6 Sex Education.”

The groups are protesting what they see as the education establishment’s increased focus on controlling children and families. One group leader named Meg Ann said Vermonters have had enough with the government and schools dictating to them: “My son has been back in high school since September 2020 and he does not know what his classmates look like. The psychological effects of masking and distancing, without the proof of science that it works, is harming our children.”

Organizers say the rally is meant to show Gov. Phil Scott and school officials that they have had enough. Jim Sexton of Real Vermont Patriots, Colleen Harrington from Vermont Patriots, Martha Hafner from VT HOPE, Ellie Martin from VT Grassroots, Don Bliss from VT Votes, Meg Ann from Franklin County Parents, Mark Cuestr from Concerned Vermonters, and Gregory Thayer from Vermonters for Vermont want to bring families and people together to “stop the nonsense this is negatively affecting our children, families and people at large,” Thayer said. “It is incumbent on us, ‘We the Parents’ to stand up to the control mechanisms of the government.”

The event will feature speakers and an “open mic.”

“We want to hear from the people, their story and how these mandates or threats are affecting them and their children. Mask do not work, more vaccinated people are dying than unvaccinated people here in the Green Mountain state, CRT-Equity is racist and hateful to our children and grandchildren, and it is disgusting that schools are allowing the teaching sex ed to our K-6 graders,” Thayer said. “We are working to educate and encourage people to stand up to this filth and that they are not alone in their fight.”

  1. This quote from a nurse says it all;

    “Why do the protected need to be protected from the unprotected by forcing the unprotected to use the protection that did not protect the protected in the first place?”
