Vax-only strategy not working, time for mask mandate, lawmakers say

Vermont’s vaccination program isn’t enough to stop the pandemic, lawmakers and health care providers said at a press conference Monday evening. Their demand for a new state of emergency and universal mask mandate got the cold shoulder from Gov. Phil Scott on Tuesday.

“If I thought a state of emergency would be helpful, I would impose it,” Scott said at his weekly press conference.

Scott and his staff have not heard the public clamor for more restrictions, he said.

“People are getting more and more enthusiastic about the boosters,” he said. “Numbers are going down in Vermont and nationally. The state of emergency is something that shouldn’t be overused. There is a time and place for a state of emergency. I can assure you, this isn’t it. If I thought a state of emergency would be helpful, I would impose it.”

Representative and nurse Mari Cordes, D-Lincoln, and Rep. Dr. George Till, D-Jericho, were asked by Vermont Daily Chronicle at Monday’s press conference, “VT has 89% vaccination and yet we’re the highest two week average in the nation. Gov. Scott wants to stay the course with the vaccine program. Is the state’s vaccine program not working?”

“I don’t think a vaccination-only program is working,” Cordes said.

Till added that claiming Vermont has an 89% vaccination rate is misleading because that number refers only to vaccine-eligible Vermonters. The ‘real’ number is probably in the 70’s, he said. “We need a vaccination program of overall 90% vaccination, including kids.”

Vermont’s recent two-week, first-in-the-nation number of new cases and the corresponding chaos in Vermont schools — with about 1,000 children already having lost classroom time due to mandated quarantine — should compel action, press conference organizers said.

Cordes, Till, Dartmouth public health expert Anne Sosin, and others said Scott should impose a universal mask mandate for all indoor workplaces and public places. The mandate would stop when transmission rates drop, she said.

“It doesn’t close/lockdown anything, it’s a way of preventing outbreaks in our workplaces and other settings,” Sosin said. “Mask policies give us time until we can vaccinate kids and boost high risk groups and reduce impacts we are seeing in health systems, schools, and businesses.  Vaccines still work well, but kids under 12 can’t get them yet (soon!).”

In defense of his administration’s reliance on vaccination, Scott said “this is still a pandemic of the unvaccinated.” He said 50,000 Vermonters are unvaccinated. Noting that both cases and hospitalizations are 3.8 times greater among the unvaccinated, “you can see that vaccination is working,” the governor said.

For the first time in three weeks, the rate of cases and hospitalizations grew faster among the unvaccinated than the vaccinated last week. Commissioner Levine had no information about October fatalities. He also said he is unaware of any fatalities among people who have received the boosters.

Will an experimental injection expose the healthcare trap for what it is, maybe not, but it seems there is nothing organic about how we currently dispense healthcare today, because our options are increasingly limited and kept within the scope of a coalition of healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies and government lobbied politicians & bureaucrats to control a particular narrative, which by the way can justify limiting choices presumably on your behalf for a preferred or desired outcome, but for whom dose this coalition really exist?

    Remember, a coalition of corporations and government bureaucracy has shown itself fully capable of turning a “common cold” (Un isolated virus) into a pandemic, and in doing so has perhaps exposed itself by showing its ability to introduce experimental treatments to the exclusion of therapies know to work, so, they are fully capable of discriminating against anyone who disagrees with their recommendations.

    This structured maze of institutions has trapped everyone forced to operate within its parameters, holding them hostage much like the company store did to those employed by the company many years ago.

    Those caught in the clutches of this trap are now seeing firsthand how ugly & deadly this immoral arrangement has become, yet after a year and a half, people in its employ as well as those cared for by the system are still afraid to challenge the pretense of its presumed authority, even when they suspect something is wrong.

    We still hear calls from a relentless campaign even now, telling us to do the right thing, get vaccinated, and even though we are constantly reminded of Vermont’s number one status for vaccine compliance, any celebration may be a bit premature as the full tally of the experimental protocol is yet to be recorded.
    Maybe we have to wait just a little longer, to identify who the Good, the Bad and the Ugly really are?

    The distraction of dividing us into groups of vaccinated vs unvaccinated has kept us preoccupied for many months now.
    But, perhaps we are at a point in time when camouflage can no longer hide the trap holding consumers and dedicated professionals’ in a manipulated trance, like hostages caught in a system of greed and corruption.
    Soon it will be clear, who and what must be purged from this collaborative structure of bottom-line business & government bureaucracy!

    Things will improve, once we can see the trap for what it is, then sovereign free will can be restored to all individuals.

  5. Scott is absolutely right to give the cold shoulder to Lilly-livered bureaucrats, etc., regarding masks PLUS vaccinations.

    For almost all people, with healthy immune systems, one shot is enough.

    Such people hardly ever have a cold, or get the flu.

    They likely live well, eat well, do not smoke, so not drink, do not take drugs, etc

    Unfortunately, there are many people whose immune systems are damaged/not in good shape, and have bad lifestyle habits. Often those folks are wards of government do-goodie programs.

    Those folks should have two shots.

    Mandating everyone wear a mask, whereever they go, is off-the-charts ludicrous.
    It shows a great lack of common sense.

  6. The treatments are not working, as investigated and reported we are not treating the sick properly, nor are we allowed to do so. People are criminally negligent at best or committing murder in the name of political science, following NWO mandates when many entire countries, along with Houston Texas are saving lives. The intentional cover up is an accomplice to the crime.

  8. It never really was about stopping a virus, it always has been about, how many can we get vaccinated!
    The question is, why?

    • Because the goal is to monitor and manage the entire human population according to the “greater good” that none of us voted on. Already this is what’s happening in China; once the system goes digital, like it has in China, then there’s no escape from the watchful eye of the authorities. There are cameras everywhere in China. All transactions are monitored.

      IMHO, those at the very top of this scheme are sick, deranged individuals who lust after power and control. Those under them, like Schwab and Gates and Fauci, go along with orders on high, and may even believe that everything is necessary to save the planet, etc., etc. But saving the planet from global warming now seems part of a carefully thought-out plan: how else would you gain compliance from good folk who care about the environment and our future? Throw money at studies to find global warming under every stone, and it’s guaranteed that you’ll find it. But, it’s mostly pseudoscience.

      The problem is, too many people can’t imagine that people would actually have hatched such a plan. But if we look at what’s happening with Covid and with safe treatments that have been suppressed, then we can begin to understand that someone(s), somewhere, is making sure that things go according to a certain plan that seems to be leading to vaccinating everyone, and then instituting vaccine passports. Once this system is in place, there will be no escape. That’s why there’s such a big push to get everyone vaccinated; after that, all the problems will be blamed on the non-compliant whose movements will have to be controlled. Hence, vaccine passports. Hospitals are now being purged of the non-compliant because medical tyranny is the tip of the spear for the new system. You control people through fear: fear of a virus and fear of the planet burning up.

      Klaus Schwab said it best: we’re never going back to normal. If we don’t stand up and resist, our children’s children will never know what freedom was about and people like Schwab will have won; indeed, they very much plan on winning.

      How to resist? Insist on informed consent to medication, and insist on no vaccine passports. This is basic medical ethics, and right now people are working very, very hard to throw this ethics into the trash can, and our hospitals and federal authorities are very much behind this movement. You’d think they’d have learned a lesson or two from history, but we’re not in an era of reason. We’re in an era of emerging irrational tyranny, and it’s up to us to see it, and to stop it.

      • So the government is using a vaccine program to mandate vaccine passports to control what? Across the border vaccine passports are required to dine in at restaurants. Not very controlling like the theory you are sharing here.

          Look at China. Everyone is controlled through technology. The government knows what people buy, where they’ve been, etc., and they have a social credit system set up that rewards and punishes according to your habits and your loyalty. It’s said that in the cities, they can find anyone within 15 minutes.           China can do this because in China, the state is supreme and the individual exists to serve the state.

          Vaccine passports violate the basic ethical principle of informed consent to medication, with no penalty for refusal. That in itself is enough. But consider that once you have to show this social credit– that you’re a good citizen with up-to-date vaccines– then what other credits will be attached to this passport? How about: did you buy too many gas vehicles in one year? Did you buy too many guns? Have you supported right-wing, supposedly terrorist organizations? Did you make too many commentaries against the government on TNR?

          There are plenty of people out there who believe that the population must be managed and monitored to save the planet from global warming and who might very well be persuaded that freedom of movement, etc., are necessary sacrifices that must be made to save the planet. Only, global warming science is mostly pseudoscience.

          “Not very controlling”: if you have the required passport, it isn’t. But today there are countries where your options for buying food, let alone dining out, are limited if you don’t have a vaccine passport. You can’t go to libraries, etc. This is how the control starts. All of it is supposedly for our greater good, but our greatest good, as our founding generation knew, was that each individual is free to determine for themselves what their own greatest good is, with as little interference from the government as possible. This is partly why the movement is on to demonize the founding generation and dismiss the Constitution.

          It is very clear in Klaus Schwab’s book, “Covid-19: the Great Reset,” that this reset is all about monitoring and managing everything and everyone for a greater good that’s decided by someone else. Smart cities, smart grids, transhumanism, technological control– this is the goal of people like Schwab. Medicine? Decided by big pharma, and by hospitals that are now in the process of purging dissenters from the system. “You’ll own nothing and be happy”: one of the quotes from this great reset world. But, you and I will just be cogs in the wheel for the Great Design, and technology will allow for very subtle means of control, and controlling individuals starts with medical tyranny and vaccine passports. Then, “necessary” measures to control global warming will take over, and restrictions and control (monitor and manage) can be justified by appealing to “save the planet.”

          We haven’t even gotten to the control offered by a digital currency system issued by the central banks, but this is probably a fantasy because our trillion $$ spending plans are easily handled by the current system, and no fiscal crisis will emerge. Right?

          It’ll be tyranny, and it’s starting now with medical tyranny, the tip of the spear. You on board? Yes, they most certainly do have a plan, and it’s called “The Great Reset.” Plenty of people very much want this reset because they very much want to “stay safe” and “save the planet.” Manufactured consent?

  9. All the above are excellent comments. From very early on, responsible doctors were saying that you NEVER give a vaccine during a pandemic. It is too easy for the virus to mutate. Now we have seen this happen. These health thugs are too blind (or corrupt) to see that early treatment is the proper response to the virus, before it gets into the lungs to do major damage.
    Other countries are successfully using Ivermectin and HCQ along with other drugs to contain the virus. But this regime, with this medical fiasco lead by Tony Mengele Fauci is bent on putting their boot on the population’s throat, hoping we’ll submit.
    Now these demonic people are canceling Dr. Peter McCullough, a world renowned physician and respected cardiologist. They are striping him of his many positions on medical boards, etc. etc. We all know the drill.
    Good news is that head of NIH, Francis Collins,(very, very powerful man in DC) has resigned, because he, as well as Fauci and other collaborators have been exposed for their GOF activities.

They deliberately suppressed this safe and effective drug, and they even went so far as to manufacture “trials” that were designed to fail because the doses given were far too high and were given in very sick patients, whereas HCQ is an early, outpatient treatment.     if it bit them in the arse. Science literally is the act of QUESTIONING, TESTING and using LOGIC when approaching mysteries or problems. It presupposes an ability to see and learn from our trials and mistakes. These folks apparently cannot learn. They’re learning impaired. Or ROBOTS.

If you question the enormous volume of information from thousands of doctors and scientist without reading them, your comments are nothing more than denial and prove a lack of critical thinking. You can not present a valid defense by asking for more proof without reading what has already been supplied to you here. Or, maybe you have other reasons to deflect? Maybe you blindly trust the people who want to inject an experimental gene therapy into your body. One that can not be removed once it’s in your blood and organs. If you have children, will you protect them or submit them to an FDA experiment without question?

    These vaccines are under EUA, they aren’t being properly monitored in an open and transparent manner, and doctors and nurses are dismissing harms due to illegitimate guidance from the CDC and FDA. We’re throwing due diligence out the window.

    I’d really like to know what part of “science” and “the data” we’re following when we ignore safety signals from these vaccines and we suppose that it’s a wonderful idea to give our children vaccines when real-life safety signals are flashing triple red?? This is insane.

    The Scott administration has its eyes wide shut. They only know one thing: obedience to a broken system. Our children will be the victims of this foolishness.

    Is there another way? Yes. The authorities do not want us to go there. They’re doing everything they can to stop us from going there. What’s happening has rightly been called the crime of the century, but in the end everyone who was complicit will say “I was just doing my job” or “I was just following orders” or “I was just following guidance.”

    Any other time in history when doctors and administrators who were “just following orders” made horrendous choices?

    Will anyone who is making decisions dare to stand up and do, and say, the right thing? For our children’s sake?

  13. There are no ‘ “Breakthrough cases” – ‘vax’ plainly and simply doesn’t work. Most of the inoculated are now getting Covid and majority of hospitalizations and deaths are ‘vaxxed’. Soo syringed gas chamber works as intended sickening, crippling, maiming and killing the populous dumb enough to get it and allow kids to get it but it does not qualify as a ‘vaccine’, while installing an operating system inside of the victims.         All of this fear-mongering over ivermectin is made up. It contradicts evidence in numerous trials and population studies throughout the world.

        That CDC? The one that suppresses safe and effective treatment against Covid-19? The one that is partially funded by industry interests through the CDC Foundation?

        It’s pretty safe to assume that everything that comes out of CDC today is deliberately misleading. There are plenty of good, decent people working there. But what happens when people just do what they’re told and don’t ask too many questions? Answer: an agency can then be easily corrupted, and everyone will say that we just wanted to keep our jobs and thought we were doing the right thing. Just following orders.

        • Jim, I have read everything you and others followup with and appreciate sharing of links/data. I just don’t find anecdotes and single experiences very convincing. I wouldn’t throw away a study because it is associated with the CDC. Best thing IMO is to get the meta-analysis which gets multiple studies which can point out outliers.

      • Look at the footnotes for the CDC data being presented. “Fully vaccinated” is defined as being 14 days past a single shot operating system install…I’m sorry ‘injection’, or 14 days past the second of a two shot deal.

        It’s meaningless. Someone could be 40 days or more past their first shot, go to the hospital with vax reactions or symptoms and be recorded as “unvaccinated”. Sleight of hand with numbers.

I sure hate the way these pubic health bureaucrats invoke “science” exactly as if they were witch doctors of some primitive tribe. “Science” incorporates evidence from experience, closing the loop of hypothesis and theory. So many things the smartest of them have projected turned out completely wrong.
    Honest education about reality would include knowledge that “scientists” are often wrong, and that the process is supposed to be self-correcting when the theory is disproven.
    It’s all fake now, based on cartoon-level physics, which don’t even work out too well for the coyote.

  15. The hypocracy here is stunning. If the Democratic legislative leadership really wanted to impose a mask mandate they could call a special session and pass a law doing so until whatever metrics they wanted to were met.

    This is not so much about health concerns as trying to undermine a popular Republican Governor who is loath to invoke dictatorial state of emergency powers, which he correctly believes should be severly limited in the times it should be used.
