CAVENDISH, Vt. — The Selectboard on Monday voted unanimously to reelect the town’s health officer over the objections of an unhappy local resident who complained the officer supported a 2022 Vermont House candidate who spoke out against mandatory Covid vaccines.
Doris Eddy will continue to serve as the Cavendish health officer after the five-member governing board appointed her for another 3-year term.
What might have been a routine reappointment turned dramatic, however, when local resident Kem Phillips spoke up ahead of the board’s vote and urged members to deny Eddy the post.
“The problem we have with Doris is that she supported Stu Lindberg as our representative,” Phillips said. “The problem with that is Mr. Lindberg has disseminated disinformation about the Covid vaccine.
VACCINE CONTROVERSY: A local resident who appeared at a Cavendish Selectboard meeting Monday night tried to prevent the reappointment of the town health officer due to her apparent support for a Covid vaccine critic.
“In particular, he sent a June 7 letter to the Vermont Journal and at least four other newspapers, [and] he claimed that ‘Covid-19 injections have killed 28,312 Americans.’ He said ‘the data includes 232,694 serious injuries.’ He got that information from the FDA website.”
Phillips argued that Lindberg was “misunderstanding” the data, and that residents who refused vaccination could “get Covid, get long Covid, get hospitalized or die.”
“The website he referenced explains that these events are not generally related to the vaccine and that serious adverse events caused by the vaccine are very rare,” Phillips said, adding that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Vermont Health Department urge vaccination.
He continued that since those health authorities supported Covid vaccines, any skepticism by a town health official would be unacceptable and disqualifying.
“So here’s the town health officer promoting somebody who is spreading misinformation about a vaccine for the worst epidemic in my lifetime,” Phillips said.
The objection failed to convince a single board member that the concerns merited anything other than to reappoint Eddy. In response, some members spoke kindly in defense of her work for the town.
“We have to judge Doris on what she’s done for the town and her work ethic, and she has worked all through Covid,” board member Sandra Russo said. “And she’s been right up there with all of us doing the right thing.
“Like you say, you vote for somebody or you support somebody, maybe you don’t support everything they do,” she added. “But she has been there and we have to judge her based on her relationship with the town. … I just feel positive about Doris.”
While he was running for office in June, Lindberg wrote a letter to the editor that read, in part, “During the Covid-19 pandemic, the biggest pharmaceutical players worked hand in glove with the U.S. government to indiscriminately push an experimental mRNA gene therapy on the entire population. Young and healthy segments of the population, who stood to gain no benefit from their products, were harmed by them.”
Phillips told the Selectboard the issue wasn’t “just a minor political dispute.”
“This is the health of the lives of the people in our town and the people of Vermont and the world. You can’t take this position, you can’t be spreading disinformation,” he said.
Following Monday’s reappointment Eddy will serve as Cavendish health officer through March 2026.

What the mainstream media does not report: Two court cases (one in Canada, one in Europe) the governments punted and lost both cases because they could not or would not produce evidence of what COVID is – what is it? No response, no evidence produced. Copious evidence produced that vaccines do nothing against “viruses” and masks do nothing but confirm some people will believe anything through fear and mind control tactics. Another nugget of testimony reports pharmacutical executive testified, under oath, they did not develop the vaccine, they were the supplier under the direction of a United States federal government contract. There is plenty more. The Devil is a lie and holding up that lie makes the case for criminal collusion and conspiracy of fraud. The general conspiracy statute, 18 U.S.C. § 371, creates an offense “[i]f two or more persons conspire either to commit any offense against the United States, or to defraud the United States, or any agency thereof in any manner or for any purpose.
Vermont use to have a huge sheep population of the animal variety now it has one of the largest of the human variety. Phillips is a prime example along with the voters filling the golden dome with leftist commies. This is one of the rare times local government has made a good decision. Pushing a NOT A VACCINE with 1,293 side effects including DEATH should be a crime and was the reason we have gov agencies that now are instigators of that crime. The US gov continues pushing the failed vax while the rest of the world is looking to make people pay for this medical catastrophe.
Health Alert on mRNA COVID-19 Vaccine Safety from Florida Surgeon General

The COVID-19 pandemic brought many challenges that the health and medical field have never encountered. Although the initial response was led by a sense of urgency and crisis management, the State Surgeon General believes it is critical that as public health professionals, responses are adapted to the present to chart a future guided by data.
The State Surgeon General is notifying the health care sector and public of a substantial increase in Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) reports from Florida after the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.
In Florida alone, there was a 1,700% increase in VAERS reports after the release of the COVID-19 vaccine, compared to an increase of 400% in overall vaccine administration for the same time period (Figure 1).
The reporting of life-threatening conditions increased over 4,400%. This is a novel increase and was not seen during the 2009 H1N1 vaccination campaign. There is a need for additional unbiased research to better understand the COVID-19 vaccines’ short- and long-term effects.
The findings in Florida are consistent with various studies that continue to uncover such risks. To further evaluate this, the Surgeon General wrote a letter to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) illustrating the risk factors associated with the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines and emphasizing the need for additional transparency.
According to a study, Fraiman J et al, Vaccine. 2022, mRNA COVID-19 vaccines were associated with an excess risk of serious adverse events, including coagulation disorders, acute cardiac injuries, Bell’s palsy, and encephalitis. This risk was 1 in 550 individuals, which is much higher than other vaccines.
A second study, Sun CLF et al, Sci Rep. 2022, found increased acute cardiac arrests and other acute cardiac events following mRNA COVID-19 vaccination.
Additionally, Dag Berild J et al, JAMA Net Open. 2022, assessed the risk of thromboembolic and thrombocytopenic events related to COVID-19 vaccines and found preliminary evidence of increased risk of both coronary disease and cardiovascular disease.
While the CDC has identified safety signals for stroke among individuals 65 and older following the bivalent booster administration, there is a need for additional assessments and research regarding safety of all mRNA COVID-19 vaccines.
To support transparency, the State of Florida reminds health care providers to accurately communicate the risks and benefits of all clinical interventions to their patients, including those associated with the COVID-19 vaccine as additional risks continue to be identified and disclosed to the public.

He is so afraid of Mr. Lindberg sharing proof of what he researched, that he is willing to continue to push the ” misinformation ” lie.
The only misunderstanding in this story is that Mr. Philips continues to push the agenda of fear.
I’ve read plenty of Phillips’s commentaries and letters, and every single one of them simply parrots MSM talking points and lies. He’s a self-styled smart guy who loves to write rebuttal pieces that he thinks puts others in their place, but the truth is his opinions have aged terribly. For one thing, he still appears entranced by the illusion that Covid vaccines actually prevent Covid, and that record VAERS reports for the Covid vaccine—eclipsing reported adverse events for all other vaccines combined since 1990–is a nothingburger. (And his views on the Ukraine war will lose their shine soon enough.)
Don’t try to argue with these people. They are as far gone as the folks I still see wearing a mask alone in their cars.
Kem Philips is a sheep who just goes along with everything the government tells him; very sad. Yes people died from Covid, many who were vaccinated. Stu’s information is accurate but Kem just isn’t willing to accept facts. I’m sure he automatically votes for the D every time because he buys into the lie that they are the ones who want to help people despite their record.
