  1. I would like to ask Erika and Guy to consider the conflict of interest of those in the State legislature and appointed committees, who continue to dismiss one of the world’s largest sustainable clean energy producers, located just across our northern border? Are they charging Vermonters twice the going rate for electricity that Hydro Quebec can provide today… just to feather the nest of special interest groups that donate to them?

  2. Speaking of David Blittersdorf and conflict of interest. In 2013 he made a $1million donation to UVM’s Rubenstein School of Environmental Science and Natural Resources. When making the donation Blittersdorf said:

“The purpose of the donation……is to encourage the university to play an active role in developing renewable energy in the state.

“They are a player in Vermont, they should do more in the state,…… “That’s what I am promoting.”

These are Blittersdorf’s own words as reported on the VTDigger.

So Blittersdorf gave the Rubenstien School a million dollars to: “Play an active role in developing renewable energy in the state”………”That’s what I’m promoting.”

That’s a problem……That’s a conflict……That’s UVM selling out its students’ education to the highest bidder. That’s UVM selling it reputation.

The mission of a public university is to teach critical and independent thinking to its students. It’s not to play an active role and promote the business interests of wealthy contributors. The UVM professors should be challenging the students to critically examine and evaluate the efficacy of renewable energy……Not promote it.

Blittersdorf who has been a member of the Rubenstein School Board of Advisors since 2005 was appointed Chairman in 2015 and remains as Chairman at this time.

    • If UVM is publicly funded is it allowed to promote a cult religion like AGW that bounds its followers to dogmatic beliefs based on models not supported by reality and has been known to demonize, shun and persecute nonbelievers? The heretical popes and cardinals of this religion live in energy consuming mansions, own ship sized yachts, fly private jets to climate convocations in exotic locations and promote costly energy generation that has no beneficial effect on climate, kills wildlife, raises energy costs. The sacrifice falls upon the common people; they are the flagellants while for the promoters of this fallacy it’s the Banquet of Chestnuts.
