U.S. Senate votes no to private sector vaccine mandate

With two Democratic senators joining all 50 Republicans, the Senate voted 52-48 to repeal President Joe Biden’s executive mandate requiring that private-sector employers with 100 or more workers ensure their employees are vaccinated against COVID-19 or face weekly testing.

Vermont announces school vaccine incentive program

Governor Phil Scott and the Agency of Education announced the School Vaccine Incentive Program, committing $2 million in federal emergency funds to schools that achieve a student vaccination rate of 85% or higher.

NYC will mandate vaccines for private sector workers, de Blasio announces

“As of today, we are going to announce a first in the nation measure, our health commissioner will announce a vaccine mandate for private sectors employers across the board,” de Blasio added. “All private sectors employers in New York City will be covered by this vaccine mandate, as of December 27th.”

Vermont governor launches ‘universal booster program’ amid COVID-19 pandemic

“Over the last 30 days, in a time of increasing cases in the low-risk age groups, we’ve seen cases in those 65 and older decline by about 2.5%. This is evidence that boosters are working,” Scott said.
