Gov. Phil Scott announces opening of additional business operations, increased social gathering sizes

ACCD has issued health and safety requirements and procedures for the resumption of businesses such as gyms, fitness centers, nail salons, spas and tattoo parlors, as well as cleaning services and other businesses that require home visits. Addendum 16 also allows social gatherings of 25 people or less.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court struck down that state’s COVID-19 stay-at-home orders because they “exceeded the executive branch’s authority.” Vermont’s Governor Phil Scott has similarly exceeded his authority, both in extent and duration.

When I voted for Phil Scott twice, I expected him to be the jobs governor and the small business governor, not the biggest killer of jobs and small business in the history of Vermont. Having tossed nearly 90,000 people out of work, he continues to peddle fear, not facts.
