New Hampshire joins lawsuit against Biden’s vaccine mandate

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Missouri, asks a judge to block Biden’s requirement that federal employees and contractors be vaccinated, arguing that the mandate is an overreach of federal power that violates federal procurement law.

The New Hampshire School Boards Association (NHSBA) sent out a letter to its members on Thursday that informed them of its plans “to withdraw its membership from the National School Boards Association, effective immediately.”

3 out of 4 COVID deaths in VT were among the vaccinated, but 9 out of 10 in NH were among unvaccinated?

Vermont and Wales appear to have a similar problem. Not COVID so much as the reporting about COVID. The BBC says nearly 13% of confirmed cases in hospital are unvaccinated. Vermont says, eight of the 33 deaths in September were not vaccinated. Do you see what they did there?

New Hampshire tax cuts go into effect

A two-year, $13.5 billion budget signed by Gov. Chris Sununu in June cut the state’s rooms and meals tax from 9% to 8.5 % – the lowest level in more than a decade. The tax reduction went into effect Sunday.

Lawmaker wants New Hampshire to declare independence

State Rep. Mike Sylvia, a Belmont Republican, said he has filed a proposed constitutional amendment that would ask voters in the 2022 midterm elections to break ties with Washington, D.C., and become a separate nation-state.

New Hampshire leaders split over Biden’s vaccine mandate

“No one should be forced or coerced to get vaccinated,” Stepanek posted on social media. “The Biden Administration has so epically failed at promoting vaccinations that they have resigned to mandates and fines through OSHA.” Only 55% of New Hampshire residents are fully vaccinated.

New Hampshire sets interim rules for scholarships for private, charter schools

The temporary rules will allow the state to set up “education freedom accounts” that would redirect state funding for low- and moderate-income students who choose to leave public schools for private, parochial or charter schools, or home schooling.

Sununu signs law increasing penalties for repeat drunken drivers

Under House Bill 179-FN, known as Tyler Shaw’s Law, drivers convicted of negligent homicide and who have a previous DWI conviction face 10 to 20 years in prison. Offenders with two or more previous convictions could face 15 to 30 years in prison.

Gov. Sununu signs law banning vaccine mandates in New Hampshire

The “medical freedom” law which passed the Republican-controlled Legislature on a largely party-line vote, states that people have the “natural, essential and inherent right to bodily integrity, free from any threat or compulsion by government to accept an immunization.”
