In the midst of a national furor over a sexually explicit graphic novel, Vermont’s Essex-Westford School District has proclaimed it has the duty to expose children to pornographic imagery — to support free speech.
As a matter of law, young children cannot properly assess the risks of taking testosterone, let alone surgically mutilating their bodies and embracing infertility. “Confidentiality” has been the UVM Trojan horse by which that consent is shamelessly circumvented.

The things I see from Vermont public schools cause me anxiety. I see example after example of racist teaching that has no place in our public schools. Students are singled out for their race and taught that because of the color of their skin they are racist.

A teacher said in a social media post that she planned to include sexually graphic books, “All Boys Aren’t Blue” and “Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe,” in her classroom library. “All Boys Aren’t Blue” has been purchased by other school libraries and promoted on reading lists.
Students at Park Point University received an email that said “action could be taken” over complaints of “misgendering” or “pronoun misuse,” according to the school’s anti-discrimination policy, Campus Reform reported.

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott had called on DFPS Friday to say whether transgender surgeries for children constitutes child abuse. Masters quickly responded in a Wednesday letter calling these surgeries “genital mutilation of a child” and confirming that the surgeries constitute child abuse.
