Letter: Absurdity of Prop 5 should give us pause

Prop 5 is framing abortion as the exercise of reproductive freedoms and rights, but is the absurdity here not giving you pause?

Cathy Dodge: Do we really want to change the Vermont Constitution?

Article 22 will have significant implications for women’s mental health issues as well as the rights of mothers and fathers. In many ways, Article 22 threatens a mother’s rights to carry children to term and give birth.

Cathy Dodge: Article 22 reckless and dangerous as a constitutional change

Why are we making a change to the Vermont Constitution? Good question. We the People have an important vote coming in the November election that can change the course of Vermont. Every vote counts.

Gregory Thayer: The GWSA is negatively affecting every Vermonter

Have you seen the price of gasoline at your local gas station pumps? This is the Vermont of Progressives and Democrats. I paid $3.69 per gallon two days ago. This is happening all across the Green Mountain State to working Vermonters already struggling with inflation at the marketplace.

Letter: Lackluster response of Western politicians to Ukraine is short-sighted

As an American of Ukrainian ancestry, I grew up listening to my relatives talk about how the Ukrainians suffered under Russian control — how they starved and froze, of the atrocities committed by the Russian soldiers, how members of my own family were murdered for resisting the Communists.

Letter: Biden contributed to Russia and Ukraine crisis

Biden’s ties to the former Soviet Union have no doubt contributed to the situation we are in. For example, he contributed mightily to the well being of Russia by shutting down the U.S. energy infrastructure.

Letter: Gun bill S.30 with new sections rushed through committee, democratic process be damned

What I am about to relate is one of the most disheartening, if not one of the most outright disgusting things I have ever seen in my eight-year tenure as a lobbyist. Let me explain.

Letter: I will be voting no on my school budgets

The last resort in getting the people in charge to listen and to see is to shut off the money supply. I will be voting no on my school budgets. It is past time to pause, reflect and change course away from what is going wrong at Vermont’s government run schools.

Letter: Proposal 5 is a Pandora’s box — Men will finally have ‘reproductive rights’

Men will finally have a say over their offspring that is growing in a woman’s womb. Prop 5 in the Vermont Constitution will supersede even H.57. An abortion is an interference with the man’s right to reproduce.

Letter: Vermonters, be a voice of reason, attend COVID summit in Montpelier

What’s happening? We’ve seen lots of Covid scrambling. Recently there’s been strong voices saying much could have been prevented. Are we willing to consider this? Vermonters, attend the Global Covid Summit in Montpelier and Williston on Jan. 14-15.

Letter: New bill would establish Vermont child tax credit for parents earning up to $400K

The progressive/socialists in the legislature have just introduced H.510, an insanely expensive Vermont Child Tax Credit to grant $1,200 per child to parents making up to $400,000, and to adopt the incredibly complex federal advance payment scheme which has yet to experience its first tax season.
