U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont announced Wednesday that he will suspend his campaign for the Democratic bid for president. “I have concluded that this battle for the Democratic nomination will not be possible,” Sanders said.

Gov. Phil Scott said Monday he is working “hand in hand” with legislative leaders on COVID-19 legislation and is fine with the use of remote voting “during this point in time during this crisis.”

Secretary of State Jim Condos announces election law changes to address the COVID-19 pandemic

This new temporary law also creates emergency powers to allow the Secretary of State’s office to enact the necessary measures to enable Vermonters to vote safely during the 2020 COVID-19 health crisis. Such measures could include the mailing of ballots to every registered voter.

Bernie Sanders wins Democrats Abroad primary

Sanders received 57.9% of the vote to former Vice President Joe Biden’s 22.7%. The two were the only candidates to receive the 15% of the vote required to be allocated delegates at the Democratic National Convention.

Avenues to voter fraud have no place in coronavirus bill

Pelosi’s coronavirus plan includes mandatory voting by mail. That means the next president would be determined by ballots that have been marked behind closed doors by who knows who, perhaps collected and dropped in the mail by another who knows who.
