What we can learn from COVID-19 restrictions on houses of worship in Maine and New Hampshire

We should use every piece of information to loosen lockdown restrictions when possible, especially where it affects fundamental parts of our lives. Such restrictions include needlessly restrictive occupancy rules on places of worship.

Home schooling has long been popular among parents whose educational, societal or religious views make them wary of public schools. However, stringent new Covid-19 guidelines apparently have pushed hundreds more Vermont parents to consider the home schooling option.

Poll: Skepticism amongst Americans growing over coronavirus death count

The Axios-Ipsos poll released Tuesday shows 31% of Americans believe that the number of deaths is lower than what is being reported. 58% of Republicans and 9% of Democrats believed that “the real number of deaths is less than the official count.”

Democrats support extending the current benefits, while Republicans want a more limited plan with incentives to return to work.

CDC employees made over 8,000 federal contributions to PACs and politicians, and only 5 went to Republican causes

The vast majority of donations went to ActBlue, an online fundraising platform for Democratic and left-leaning organizations. Other common recipients included Bernie 2020, Biden for President, Hillary for America, and Warren for President, Inc.

Williams called the gown a garbage bag because it didn’t even have holes for arms to go through. Williams said other examples include receiving brittle masks that broke easily or receiving a shipment of thousands of extra small gloves that were useless for many adult staff.

Analysis: New Hampshire residents less likely to look to borrowing to weather pandemic than most states

New York finished first in the rankings, meaning its residents were most inclined to borrow, while Vermont landed at 50th. Other states in the Northeast, including Massachusetts (36th), Connecticut (38th) and Maine (44th) landed somewhere in the middle.

‘3 violations and you’re closed’: Cuomo threatens bars and businesses that violate COVID rules

“It’s wrong. It’s dangerous. It’s selfish. It’s unacceptable,” Cuomo said of violating restrictions placed on businesses during the coronavirus pandemic. “It’s also illegal, so today beginning in New York City we’re going to enact a ‘three strikes and you’re closed’.”
