Federal court temporarily blocks Biden’s vaccine mandate

The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit temporarily halted the Biden administration’s rule requiring employers with over 100 workers to mandate COVID-19 vaccinations or implement weekly testing.

Business group sues Biden administration over mandatory worker vaccinations for larger employers

The business advocacy group, Job Creators Network, announced they filed a lawsuit Thursday with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. The lawsuit represents an employee as well as several businesses standing up to the rule.

New Hampshire joins lawsuit against Biden’s vaccine mandate

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Missouri, asks a judge to block Biden’s requirement that federal employees and contractors be vaccinated, arguing that the mandate is an overreach of federal power that violates federal procurement law.

Vermont announces launch of age 5-11 vaccination drive

With the decision late today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to approve COVID-19 vaccination for children ages 5 to 11, Gov. Phil Scott announced that, starting Nov. 3, parents and caregivers can register their eligible children to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

Opinion: Covid-19 vaccines for children still experimental

Note that the FDA statement does not say that the FDA has approved the BioNTech vaccine for children, but only that the EUA (emergency use authorization) for BioNTech has been extended to children. That this is only EUA is very clear in the FDA statement.

SCOTUS declines to stop Maine’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate

In a 6 to 3 ruling, the high court rejected a complaint filed on behalf of nine health care workers which alleged that the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention is violating federal law by requiring vaccinations for health care workers without allowing a religious exemption.
