Roe v. Wade defined a compelling interest to protect life beginning at viability — scientifically accepted at 24 weeks. Vermont is protecting abortions even beyond 40 weeks. This is not just a technicality — this is Prop 5, perhaps the most extreme abortion law in the world.

March for Life draws hundreds to hear about Proposal 5 abortion-until-birth measure

The Vermont Right to Life annual march through Montpelier took place amid frigid temperatures Saturday afternoon, drawing about 250 people who heard speakers warn about Proposal 5, a constitutional amendment that would allow unrestricted abortion up until birth.
