Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, Vermont’s leading abortion provider, endorsed dozens of candidates for state office Friday. But it passed on the race for governor between incumbent Republican Gov. Phil Scott and Democrat challenger Dave Zuckerman.
Gubernatorial candidate John Klar is alleging that Vermont Attorney General T.J. Donovan and staff engaged in “taxpayer supported collusion” with Planned Parenthood, including holding non-public strategy meetings.
“It is as though Planned Parenthood had the Attorney General’s Office on retainer. Attorney General TJ Donovan’s use of public resources for the benefit of his favored special interest group is inappropriate.”
“I was determined, and I knew an abortion was something I had to do to move forward. It was — and still is — the best decision I ever made.”
“Vermonters should be concerned that an organization that has yet to denounce its eugenic past is expanding its reach in our state once again,” Beerworth said.
Planned Parenthood of Greater New York condemned its founder Margaret Sanger for her “harmful connections to the eugenics movement” and vowed to remove her name from their building, according to the group’s statement released Tuesday.
“The answer to violence is not more violence,” Dr. Alveda King, the pro-life niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., told Heather Sheppard of the Light Radio during an interview Wednesday.
Conservatives ripped into Roberts on Monday following news of the abortion decision. Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk called the chief justice “a disgrace” while former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee condemned Roberts as “an empty black robe.”
The United States Supreme Court ruled Monday that a pro-life law violates the rights of both women and abortion providers in Louisiana.
“This is literally a life and death election,” said Acting President of Planned Parenthood Alexis McGill Johnson ahead of the announcement. “We felt like we can’t endure another four years of Trump; we have to do everything we can to get him out of office.”
