PERKINSVILLE, VT — 6 days out from the November 8 general election for Vermont’s open Senate seat, the Gerald Malloy for U.S. Senate campaign has received a key endorsement from former president Donald Trump.
Regarding the endorsement, Malloy had the following to say: “I am grateful for the support of our former president and I look forward to working with him and other talented leaders to put our country back on track, stop rising inflation, bring new jobs to Vermont, and restore the American dream.”
This election represents the first open seat election in Vermont since 2006, and polling has indicated a closer race than initially expected.
About Gerald Malloy:
Gerald Malloy is Vermont’s Republican nominee for U.S. Senate. Malloy graduated from West Point in 1984 with a commission as an active duty Field Artillery Officer and a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Political Science. He also earned his MBA from Temple University, graduated from the Army Command and General Staff College, and earned a Graduate Certificate from Georgetown University. Serving the United States for 22 years on active duty in leadership positions, Malloy was stationed in countries including Germany, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, and Canada. Following his military career he worked 5 years in Emergency Management and response, including over 20 Presidential Disaster Declarations, with US Government organizations including the departments of Defense, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services, as well as many State, Local, and Law Enforcement organizations. Actually an endorsement by “The Donald” is more a turn off for me.
I would like to know why I should vote for the GOP candidates for senate or the house? I know virtually nothing about either. The Vermont republican party and the candidates don’t seem to have much enthusiasm for this campaign. I’ve seen no TV ads, I’ve not seen any local meet and greets.
I prefer to vote for conservative candidates but I expect to write in Cristina Nolan and leave the congrssional slot blank.
Why does the republican party go into hibernation between elections. Why aren’t they, and the governor talent scouting for Vermonters who have demonstrated leadership in their fields and encourage them to become more politically active. The governor could appoint them to high visibility positions wher they could establish some name recognition and a resume for Vermonters to consider. Insgead it seems that 6 months before an election the party says “Anyone want to run for something?” then provides virtually no support for them.
I was disgusted with the pitiful support that the party gave Richard Tarrent who ran against Bernie and Martha Rainville when she ran against Peter Welch.
You are not the only one pointing out the obvious. Vermont is a cesspool of corruption and a grifter’s paradise. Until the citizens come out of their stupor of ignorance and fight for what is right, we can only hope and pray for better days and better people.

I pray the Holy Ghost enters every polling station and delievers victory to all candidates who are determined to defeat the evil perpetrating our State and our Nation. Well, it’s a little late but it is most welcome. Many Republicans are not invigorated by a GOP that trends toward the center left. Now, I hope they will turn out to vote. Phil Scott must rely on votes from the remaining moderate Dems to win. Why? There aren’t enough Vermont Republicans to elect him. Of those that are Republicans, many are never Trumpers. That is our party’s mistake. You cannot beat the radical left by being supplicants. Trump, despite all his issues and his own party’s opposition, did just that. I didn’t vote for him in the primary, but I did in the general. After many mean tweets and Democrat manufactured crises and criminal conspiracies, our border was secure, ISIS was nearly obliterated, the Taliban were at bay, the embassy of the US was in Jerusalem, we had a Covid vaccine for the Wuhan flu, our treaties had been renegotiated with many nations, NATO nations were paying more for our common defense than before, we were energy independent, with low energy costs, and exporting oil and gas. Blacks and Hispanics were earning more money along with the rest of us, we had no serious crime with the exception of sanctuary (Democrat) cities who fought the feds. Our military was recovering its strength, we were not recruiting transgender troops with their medical baggage paid for by the taxpayer, we were in no new wars, (Even Kim Jong-un allowed Trump to step into North Korea), and our education system was being returned to teaching math, science, civics, and history, instead of leftist indoctrination. Constitutional judges and justices were appointed from a list he published. I probably missed much, but he got things done that were good for our nation and for our freedoms. He left us with the Abraham Accords, and no one knew it was coming.. Hope Republicans who weren’t going to vote turn out and vote fir Gerald Malloy. Maybe we can turn the state around.
Just watching a Welch campaign commercial is repulsive. The smile is as fake as the man. You would think Vermonters would of had enough of the country laughing at the little state that tries to copy California. The 3 (stooges) Vermont Delegation has finally been broken up and it’s time for another to go. With the red wave predicted to overtake Washington sending Welch there will do nothing for Vermont. He will have no power to do anything for this state that desperately needs a common sense, experienced Senator and not a former ambulance chaser turned insider stocks and bond chaser to enrich himself further. Isn’t it time that Vermont has an honest person working to help Vermonters. The same goes for the other two moonbeam candidates, Balent and Madden. They will be worthless to the state as they collect federal pay to take up office space. Are you better off now than two years ago? Vote wisely, labels mean nothing. It’s actions and experience combined with common sense and critical thinking that will move Vermont forward.

We need new blood in DC, Gerald Malloy is a proven leader, something we
cannot say for Peter Welch, for all the years he’s been in DC supporting his
party, not the people of Vermont, years of bits & crumbs to make you feel like
he accomplished something…………. yeah !!
