Podcast: Cancel culture comes for America’s national monuments

By Virginia Allen

The nation’s monuments are under fire from the progressive left. A new report commissioned by D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser recommends that the federal government “remove, relocate, or contextualize” the Washington Monument, the Jefferson Memorial, and six other statues and monuments.

Jarrett Stepman, a contributor to The Daily Signal and author of “The War on History: The Conspiracy to Rewrite America’s Past,” joins the podcast to discuss the report from the DCFACES Working Group and explain the intrinsic threat that cancel culture poses to American history.

  1. Funny how the mark keeps moving and people entertain such insane ideas. Someone needs to “just say no” as there will never be an end to dismantling this great nation. What’s next re-education camps for all that disagree with the cancel culture? This is all about staking out new ground no matter what the cost to this country may be.

  2. Let me get this straight, Mayor Browser wants to move the Washington Monument????? Am I missing something??? I suppose she could build a huge warehouse, then hire 50 or 60 huey helicopters to pick it up and transport it to her new warehouse. Or perhaps she could have another puff and go to bed. This is insane.m
