Moore: Why celebrate Labor Day?

American workers’ efforts and expertise are responsible for some of the greatest technological, scientific and creative advances the world has ever known. It is most appropriate that we recognize workers who make America the great nation that we are.

Study: Carbon tax would increase world hunger

The additional cost a worldwide carbon tax would add to agricultural products would put between 70 million and 170 million more people at risk for hunger, especially those living in sub Saharan Africa and India. This is roughly three times more than the 24 to 50 million people who might benefit from any mitigation of climate change.
