DHS suspends New Yorkers from Trusted Travelers Programs in wake of illegal alien ID law

New York residents can no longer enroll in Trusted Travel Programs, which allow expedited entry of pre-approved individuals, because of a new law that allows illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses and bans information sharing between DMVs and DHS agencies.

House fails to override governor’s veto of paid family leave by one vote

Democrat and Progressive lawmakers on Wednesday fell one vote short of overriding Gov. Phil Scott’s veto of a mandatory paid family leave plan that would have cost $29 million and been funded through a payroll tax on workers.

Auditor challenger wants oversight over climate change regulation

The Vermont State Auditor of Accounts should be empowered to pump the brakes on climate change regulation, according to a bill sponsored by Rep. Linda Joy Sullivan (D-Dorset), who yesterday announced she will run for auditor against incumbent Doug Hoffer.
