At the Burlington Police Commission meeting Tuesday evening, Burlington Police Chief Jon Murad gave an update on the department’s staff level of physically able and available officers, which is currently at a low point of 65.

Governor recommends booster shots and shots for young children

At his weekly press conference Tuesday, Republican Gov. Phil Scott doubled down on his commitment to push booster shots on already vaccinated Vermonters and he expects schools to promote vaccinations for students ages 5-to-12 years old.

Flemming: Guilt for underfunded pensions lies with Legislature, not taxpayers

Poll: Majority of Americans think those refusing vaccine should not lose job

Convention of States Action released the poll Wednesday, which reports that 65% of surveyed voters “do not believe Americans should lose their jobs if they object to taking the COVID-19 vaccine.”

Rutland school mascot remains Ravens ‘for now,’ COVID tracking consumes school staff

We are witnessing a stunning global loss of biodiversity that some are calling the Sixth Great Extinction. Human activity has degraded migration corridors, leaving species with nowhere to go. Letter: Overthinking Gov. Phil Scott

My advice for liberty-minded Vermonters is to stop worrying about the governor’s office until you have a majority in the Legislature. You might actually like the Phil Scott that shows up in that scenario.
