South Dakota governor signs order banning critical race theory in K-12 schools

Gov. Kristi Noem signed Executive Order 2022-02 which bans the teaching of “inherently divisive concepts.” The order lists critical race theory (CRT) as “a political and divisive ideology that teaches a distorted view” of the U.S. and its institutions.

Americans more worried about crime amid violence, retail crime wave

Gallup polling found that 53% of surveyed Americans worry a “great deal” about crime, the highest level since 2016. The poll found an additional 27% of Americans are worried a “fair amount” about crime, with women, Republicans, and city residents among the most concerned.

Roper: Senate committee contemplates adding motor fuels to clean heat standard

The lightbulb went off over the heads of the members of the Senate Natural Resources and Energy Committee that the Clean Heat Standard bill only deals with thermal emissions. Not transportation emissions as well. This did not go down well.

You won’t believe it until you read it yourself, but a group of 10 Progressive Democrats in the Legislature have sponsored a bill that would take away the rights of parents to decide whether or not their kids would receive hormone blockers as young as 8 years old.

MacDonald: If anti-grooming bill is ‘anti-LGBT,’ does that make pedophilia a feature of the LGBT community?

There is, literally, no good reason to talk to kids that age about anything having to do with sex or gender unless you are trying to sexualize them. And not at all the way some of these schools have introduced it into the lesson plans.
