Biden threatens oil companies for not refining more gas — There’s just one problem

Total domestic capacity has dropped by 900,000 barrels per day since 2019. Industry groups and experts blamed the declining capacity and lack of new refineries on environmental regulation and projected fuel demand decline in the future as governments push green energy alternatives.

$84.5 mil: Vermont uses state, ARPA funds to address economic, work force development

$40 million will be spent to boost municipalities, businesses and the nonprofit sector that were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. And $19 million will be put into the Forgivable Loan Program through the Economic Development Authority to administer forgivable loans to businesses suffering from economic shortfalls due to the pandemic.

Diesel, up to $5.78 per gallon, has hit a new record almost every day this month. Regular unleaded gas continued to extend its record, reaching $5.02 nationally.
