Roe reversal a victory for the Tenth Amendment, states

The opinion should be welcomed by all Americans, as it will breathe life into the Tenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Two Vermont prosecutors among 85 pledging to disregard SCOTUS abortion decision

Following the U.S. Supreme Court’s momentous decision striking down Roe v. Wade on Friday, two of Vermont’s government attorneys have joined 83 colleagues from 29 states in declaring they will not prosecute individuals who provide, support or seek abortions.

What impact would a gas tax ‘holiday’ have? Not much

New Hampshire business taxes trimmed in new legislation

Republican lawmakers who pushed the bill through the Legislature argued that the state is flush with surplus revenue and can afford to give pandemic-battered businesses a tax break. Democrats opposed the changes.

Democrats in shambles after Supreme Court strikes down abortion rights

The U.S. Supreme Court overturned the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision Friday, sending the authority to regulate and restrict abortions back to the states. Democrats and liberals sharply criticized the ruling. Republicans celebrated the decision.

VFGG: Women should vote no on Proposal 5/Article 22 following SCOTUS Dobbs decision

Act 47 of 2019, which guarantees a woman’s right to choose an abortion, was the law of the land in Vermont before Dobbs, and it will be the law of the land after Dobbs.
