President Biden signed an executive order directing agencies to take steps to protect access to abortions and the privacy of patients seeking reproductive health services. The order also directed the secretary of Health and Human Services to make reports and launch a public education campaign on access to reproductive health services.
I’m not taking a position on the merits of the Supreme Court’s decision, or the effectiveness of the actions President Biden announced in response to it. But there’s one thing the president said when signing the executive order that really aroused my concern. Here it is:
“We cannot allow an out-of-control Supreme Court working in conjunction with extremist elements of the Republican Party to take away freedoms and our personal autonomy.”
The bit about the court working with extremist Republicans to take away our freedoms and our personal autonomy is the usual kind of partisanship that ought to be beneath the dignity of a president, but that’s not my big problem.
My big problem is Biden’s declaration that “we can’t allow an out of control Supreme Court … ” Oh? Who is this “we”? Just who is supposed to be in control of the Supreme Court? The President? The Congress? Not under our Constitution that you repeatedly swore to defend, Joe.

Who is “we” John McClaughry asks?
The answer to John’s question is the 29% of registered Democrats who recently indicated that they would vote for Biden if he were to run again.
According to a very recent pool among registered Democratic voters, just 29% of those surveyed said they would pick him to run again………These are numbers reflecting a dead man walking and not an incumbent President currently holding office……..Other polls show even worse distain for Joe Biden’s leadership and the abhorrent results he has produced.
The very structure of the sentences they put out bespeaks the rulers’ delusional proposition that they are in charge of our lives. And we put these folks up front making decisions about how we will live. Lets hope we’ll be more prudent when we vote and then be more attentive to accountability for those we vote in…
Mr. Biden’s comment only further confirms his “Constitutional Ignorance”. He and many others like him in D.C. swore an oath to protect something about which they have absolutely no idea of how it’s supposed to work. One of the main problems surrounding the recent SCOTUS decision on Roe V. Wade is that the media, politicians, and “women’s rights” groups have had 50 years to brainwash and convince everyone that abortion was a “constitutional right”. That is an out-and-out LIE. That is why those folks are so up in arms. They think that the recent decision made abortion illegal in the US, which is another out-and-out LIE. The only place in the Constitution where women’s rights are even mentioned is the 19th amendment. (Look it up if you don’t know what the 19th amendment is.) SCOTUS performed its job well in sending all matters of abortion back to the states where it belongs.
Maybe everyone should have a civics refresher course before they are allowed to vote or hold office.

so let’s just stay within Vermont, with this decision nothing has changed, if you are a pregnant
women want to kill your unborn child….. the door is still open for that immoral option in VT !!
But if you are talking about incest or rape that’s a matter within itself, but by using abortion as birth control you are an inept fool, to say the least. I know it’s your body and apparently one part works
well, too bad it’s not connected to your brain !!

Until we realize the names Democrat/Progressive are just polite terms for Marxist’s and as such are in every way anthetical to a republican form of government, the braindead buffoon is the representative of that party. As such he is the cheer leader of destroy America party. Vote Wisely.
I “love” the one-sided arguments, only about self, nothing about others. This morning I had the opportunity to listen to a very one-sided argument. Sure, they quoted those who were pro-life, but they didn’t let anyone speak.
If it’s a fetus and not life until birth we can save billions and billions of dollars. Women can have COMPLETE control…
How’s this? Because this is what it means.
1) no man is required to ever pay child support again. The most they will be on the hook for is the price of abortion. They haven’t fathered a child, they have only created a product of conception.
2) Hospitals will no longer have care or spend ANY money on prenatal care, it’s not a baby, it’s a clump of cells. Why are we spending billions of dollars on clumps of cells.
3) We can stop ALL money for child support within the federal government. It was SOLEY the woman’s choice, it is solely Her’s to bear and finance.
These are but some of the simplest arguments that will make the Vermont constitutional change ultimately lead toward the truth, a total ban on abortions at any stage of life. They can’t have it both ways, but our society is only focused on their self, pleasure, lifestyle and money.
We have given up truth and love for the god of money, pleasure and a BMW….tis a major problem in our society. Lord help us please, we’re a hot mess.

Libelas on display – with lies (As always.) SCOTUS did NOT BAN abortion. They only stated since the word abortion is not in the Constitution, and SCOTUS decides CONSTITUTIONAL issues….they remanded it back to the LEGISLATURE, where all laws are made. SCOTUS DID NOT BAN abortion, because SCOTUS upheld right wing Mississippi law that allows abortion up to 15 weeks, and I believe most states will follow. Liberals always lie.
THEN the EPA decision? SCOTUS ruled that “emissions control” is a far reaching and NATIONAL issue that is NOT mentioned in the Constitution. As such, such far reaching law must be done by the LEGISLATURE…i.e. CONGRESS. SCOTUS made no opinion, pro or con, to emissions control. They just stated it is NOT IN SCOTUS PURVIEW to do make that LAW. So all SCOTUS did, in fact, was just REMOVE the wrongful EXECUTIVE BRANCH orders so often done by Biden and Obama for “supreme powers” w/ FDA. Trump issued EXECUTIVE orders as well!!!.. with FDA….but Trump was REMOVING illegal power given to EPA. Democrats INSTITUED illegal powers with EPA 🙂
