Scott calls to ‘reverse the harms’ resulting from COVID lockdown measures

During his weekly press conference Tuesday, Gov. Phil Scott called on Vermonters to work to undo the harms caused by the social and economic shut down he imposed following the onset of COVID-19 in 2020.

$84.5 mil: Vermont uses state, ARPA funds to address economic, work force development

$40 million will be spent to boost municipalities, businesses and the nonprofit sector that were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. And $19 million will be put into the Forgivable Loan Program through the Economic Development Authority to administer forgivable loans to businesses suffering from economic shortfalls due to the pandemic.

The Vermont Secretary of State’s Office is now installing new Dominion ballot tabulating machines in every Vermont town and municipality using ballot tabulators, Director of Elections Will Senning confirmed Friday afternoon.
