Candidate requests ‘Liberty and Justice for All’ be painted on State Street next to ‘Black Lives Matter’

In an appeal for unity, gubernatorial candidate John Klar has asked the Montpelier City Council for permission to paint the U.S. flag and words from the Pledge of Allegiance in red, white and blue next to the Black Lives Matter mural on State Street.
