Burlington voters have approved moving forward with construction of a new high school and technical center. Burlingtonians approved the $165 million bond measure, which passed with more than 75% of the votes.

Agency of Natural Resources advances rules from the Climate Action Plan

ANR has reached the next step in filing a suite of new rules and amendments to existing rules related to low emission and electric vehicles. These rules support meeting Vermont’s emission reduction requirements, as required by the Global Warming Solutions Act.

Secretary Moore highlights the importance of dam removal in Rutland County

Vermont has over 1,000 dams and the DEC estimates that hundreds no longer serve a useful purpose. Many of these dams degrade water quality and aquatic habitat, restrict the movement of fish and other wildlife, increase maintenance and liability costs, and pose significant risks to public safety.

Secretary Condos encourages early voters to mail ballots by Oct. 31

Today Vermont Secretary of State Jim Condos encouraged Vermonters who plan to vote early by mail in the November 8 General Election to mail their ballots no later than October 31, to ensure adequate time for their mailed ballot to reach the Town Clerk.
