Seeing a group of Progressive Democrat members of the Vermont House introduce the H.659 bill filled me with various emotions from shock to disbelief to sadness. My next thought: the Democrat leadership needs to be stopped.

Vermont House Bill H.659 would allow children as young as 6 or 8 years old to take hormone blockers or participate in “other treatment” against the consent of their parents. No Age restrictions. No qualifications. No appeal for parents. No parent is safe while the Democratic-controlled legislature is in session.
The bill limits out-of-state tuitioning only to independent schools in Vermont’s neighboring states and in Quebec. This has been a long time goal of the teachers union, which wants no public tuition money to leave the state, no matter what.
The question the Vermont Climate Council and legislators are attempting to answer using schemes like the CHS is not, “How do we heat homes and power cars without fossil fuels?” Rather it’s, “How do we get most Vermonters to live in smaller homes and drive fewer cars?”
Vermont’s electoral security lapses are fixable if steps are taken immediately. Voter rolls in Vermont have not been cleaned in decades. Will they be cleaned and updated in time for absentee ballots to be mailed in September?
