During the Democratic debates there was one question about gas prices, which was used across the board by Democrats to talk about what an “opportunity” the high prices were to forcibly move people off fossil fuels.

Sixty percent of Vermont’s homes depend on oil heat. Over the past eight months heating oil prices have marched steadily upward. At the beginning of last year’s heating season, the average retail price was $3.002/gallon. At the end of the season it had risen to $5.052/gal.

Ten years ago, Vermont’s much larger press corps was almost unanimous in its liberal viewpoints. In his gushing over VTDigger, Walters neglects to mention the most positive media development of the past few years: the inception of conservative media in Vermont.

Though Randolph Union High School has resumed respect for the law and removed the illegal BLM flag, social justice agitators such as former RUHS principal Elijah Hawkes continue to agitate for more attacks against children’s rights.
UVM is currently not providing public education; it is providing private education. New enrollments from out-of-staters are at 82% and in-state enrollments are at 18%. UVM is no longer a “public” institution.
