Lindberg: Do black unborn lives matter?

By Stu Lindberg

In my travels around the Connecticut River valley I have noticed that a growing number of my neighbors have placed political yard signs on their property. Like many of my fellow Americans I suffered a severe overdose of politics during the election of 2016. I feel better when I ignore political statements by those who haven’t yet had enough of it.

Sadly, like a moth to a flame I just can’t ignore the strange and contradictory placement of two particular yard signs. They keep appearing side by side every time I take a turn in the road. The signs read “Black Lives Matter” and “I Stand with Planned Parenthood.” I agree that black lives matter. They matter very much. So I wonder how does someone hold the heartfelt belief that “Black Lives Matter” and also “Stand with Planned Parenthood”? This makes no sense. Here is why.

According to BlackGenocide.org:

Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in America. 78% of their clinics are in minority communities. Blacks make up 12% of the population, but 35% of the abortions in America. Blacks are the only minority in America that is on the decline in population. If the current trend continues, by 2038 the black vote will be insignificant. Did you know that the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was a devout racist who created the Negro Project designed to sterilize unknowing black women and others she deemed as undesirables of society? The founder of Planned Parenthood said, “Colored people are like human weeds and are to be exterminated.

Also, in 1982, nearly “17,000 aborted babies were found in a dumpster outside a pathology laboratory in Los, Angeles, California, some 12-15,000 were observed to be black,” says a quote on the site attributed to Erma Clardy Craven, a deceased social worker and civil rights leader. A chart available at that same link claims 15.5 million African-Americans have lost their lives due to abortion since 1973.

Only in an Orwellian world could anyone say “Black Lives Matter” and at the same time support abortion, which disproportionately kills black lives. It is a deranged world indeed.

  1. Blacks are also disproportionally impacted by the death penalty. I haven’t seen anything, either from you or anyone else who writes for TrueNorthReports, urging an end to capital punishment. Unlike a fetus, we know for a fact that prisoners are ‘persons’.

  2. The head of BLM in Memphis is a woman who is also on the board of Planned Parenthood. She doesn’t seem to connect the dots.
