Secretaries of state, including from Vermont, warn ‘independent state legislature theory’ would upend elections

The “independent state legislature” theory at the center of the case is a doctrine that asserts only state legislatures can make laws to regulate federal elections. The case before the court considers this theory and ponders whether State Courts are prohibited from reviewing state election laws under the Constitution.

Secretary Moore highlights the importance of dam removal in Rutland County

Vermont has over 1,000 dams and the DEC estimates that hundreds no longer serve a useful purpose. Many of these dams degrade water quality and aquatic habitat, restrict the movement of fish and other wildlife, increase maintenance and liability costs, and pose significant risks to public safety.

Three grants will bring broadband to 4,000 Vermont addresses

A trio of grants totaling $26.5 million have been greenlighted by the Vermont Community Broadband Board that will be used to connect 4,000 underserved addresses. Funding for the project is culled from American Rescue Plan Act funds, and the first phase of the project will begin in the spring.

Scientist: 35,000 vax deaths, 5,000 miscarriages/stillbirths reported on VAERS

Tuesday morning, highly qualified speakers provided valuable information and encouragement at the Restoring Our Faith Summit. For example, a veteran biochemist told the large audience that CDC reporting data shows 35,000 deaths due to the Covid-19 vaccine.
