“While I received assurances from the Trump Administration that drilling would not occur off of New Hampshire’s coast, this bill will help ensure that future generations of Granite Staters have protections in place that prohibit offshore oil exploration,” Sununu said.

Roper: Climate strike illustrates lack of support for climate agenda

This strike is a grand temper tantrum raging at the fact that most people do not, in fact, agree with the protesters’ alarmist views on climate. If a majority did agree, the highly sympathetic Vermont Legislature would have passed the package of demanded reforms faster than you can say “Al Gore.”

Deb Billado: Welcome to the F-35s

With September marking the arrival of the first F-35s at the Vermont Air National Guard (VTANG) base, I’m proud that Republicans in Vermont have stood strong in support of the F-35 mission in Vermont and the VTANG.

Letters to legislators: Wildlife and habitat in jeopardy?

If we didn’t have all of these in place, with no hunting, trapping, fishing, protection and management, the great wild outdoors and all creatures and habitat — even domestic and farming and residential lawns and gardens, pets, even insects — would soon be in jeopardy.

State Headliners: Spontaneous rally in White River Junction honors 9/11 heroes

They didn’t skip school. They didn’t need any professional organizers or media announcements. None of them sailed across the Atlantic Ocean to publicize their cause. They didn’t chant “down with capitalism.” They didn’t block traffic.
