What our Founders really thought of slavery — and why the New York Times is wrong

With its much-ballyhooed “1619 Project,” the Times is attempting to “reframe American history” by imagining 1619, not 1776, as our nation’s birth year. Why 1619? That’s the year the first African slaves landed in the British colonies of America.

Guy Page: What I would have said on WDEV this morning, if I had the time

Had I had the time after addressing Impeachment Mania, I also would have said Trump’s enemies are missing the big picture. They fail to see the benefits of Trump administration policies for American citizens in general, and for Vermont in particular.

McClaughry: The Extinction Rebellion connection

Last week’s Climate Strike mercifully stopped short of massive civil disobedience, but it’s worth taking a look at the organization that collaborated with 350.org and VPIRG to train Vermont youths to do that.

America is the real climate hero: Natural gas has helped reduce US emissions

Two years after pulling the U.S. out of the Paris scam treaty, it is President Donald Trump who now looks like the prophet. The Paris Agreement was little more than a $100 billion shakedown of the U.S. for more foreign aid money to the rest of the world.
