The Legislature has created a new board to be known as the Sunset Advisory Board to evaluate the other boards and to make recommendations regarding their continuation. We can always hope that they will do the right thing for Vermonters and will recommend decommissioning the unneeded boards.

New Hampshire K-12 schools paid out $17,133 per student in 2017-18, lower than Vermont

Public schools in New Hampshire spent $17,133 per student based on average daily attendance (ADA) figures, the 11th highest expenditure level among the 50 states and the District of Columbia, according to a National Education Association report.

McClaughry: China to cancel out all Vermont CO2 emissions

Vermont’s carbon dioxide emissions from all sources are about 10 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per year. Just one 1600 Mw Chinese coal plant would produce about as much CO2 in a year as all CO2 emissions in Vermont.
