This coronavirus is crippling our economy. If this shutdown lasts months we will be in for a depression. Vermont has already suffered from years of big government socialist spending, to the point of businesses and native Vermonters fleeing the state.
Reusable shopping bags are being banned in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and even San Francisco. They are also not welcome at many Vermont grocery stores. However, the chair of the House Natural Resources Committee said Vermont’s ban on single-use plastic grocery bags will take effect as scheduled July 1.
“Inequality is a comorbidity,” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told her Twitter followers before suggesting reparations should go to those people who are the hardest hit. “COVID relief should be drafted with a lens of reparations.”
“We coordinated the shutting down … because this really operates as a tri-state area,” Gov. Cuomo said. “ … We have to start planning restarting life.
