Roper: Climate council says individual responsibility is ‘white’

So to recap, the greenhouse gas reduction plan we’re going to get in December from the Vermont Climate Council will be anti-individual responsibility, anti-capitalist and anti-White. Can’t wait to see it.

New Hampshire teachers union may sue over school voucher expansion

Megan Tuttle says the plan will siphon limited money and resources from traditional public schools and force cities and towns to raise property taxes to make up for the loss of state funding. She said the union “remains open to all options regarding potential legal challenges.”

15 states reach agreement, pave way for $4.5 billion settlement over opioid crisis

A coalition of 15 states agreed to a deal with drug maker Purdue Pharma, which could soon lead to a $4.5 billion settlement over the company’s role in the U.S. opioid epidemic.

Report: Vermont among the top 15 most energy expensive states

The personal finance website’s report, titled “2021’s Most and Least Energy-Expensive States,” places Vermont as the 14th most expensive energy state among the 50 states and District of Columbia.

Cannabis retailing just around the corner for Middlebury

Police Chief Thomas Hanley reported that the first step involved will be creating a Middlebury Cannabis Control Commission. Hanley noted that the commission will be composed of the Selectboard primarily as a means to license cannabis retail operations in town.

Marjorie Taylor Greene compares Biden’s door-to-door vaccine push to Nazi storm troopers

“Biden pushing a vaccine that is not FDA approved shows Covid is a political tool used to control people,” Greene wrote Tuesday. “People have a choice, they don’t need your medical brown shirts showing up at their door ordering vaccinations.”
