13 New York counties refuse to enforce governor’s new mask mandate

A quarter of New York’s counties are refusing to enforce a new mask mandate imposed by Democratic New York Gov. Kathy Hochul. The governor ordered every indoor business in the state to either check vaccine status at the door or require masks, with fines of up to $10,000 per violation.

Crime in California has skyrocketed over the past two years, with homicides in San Francisco jumping over 50% compared to 2019.
