VISA update: Senate Ed working on mascot bill, anti-discrimination requirement for religious schools

S.219 would have either the Agency of Education or the State Board of Education include in the independent school approval process new requirements that no school may discriminate against protected groups nor use public funds to support religious observances or indoctrination.

GoVT: Urgent action needed on S.30

Report: Federal unemployment benefits kept millions from returning to work

Threats over mask mandate carry three-year prison sentence

A new clause in the Senate ‘criminal threatening’ bill would levy prison sentences of up to three years to store customers who make “true threats” after being asked to wear a mask, the Senate Judiciary Committee learned Thursday.
