Roll Call: Senate fails to override governor’s veto of Brattleboro 15-17 year old voting

Some of those voting no believe that children who are not legal adults are not ready to make fully informed decisions relating to voting or mature enough to hold positions of authority and responsibility over critical municipal decisions, such as property taxes.

Winooski School Board bows to community pressure, keeps teachers

The Winooski School Board voted to reverse course and keep the jobs of two Winooski teachers during their meeting Monday. Will Andrews, a social studies and iLabs teacher, and Jeff Duggan, a math teacher, were slated to lose their jobs by March 30 due to staffing cuts.

State AGs sue Biden administration over Title 42 decision on border

Vermont AG files suit against telemarketer company who harassed state legislators

Attorney General T.J. Donovan announced Thursday his office filed a civil suit against Karabell Industries and its owner, Eli Karabell. The suit alleges the company made illegal telemarketing calls to state legislators and harassing them to pay Karabell large sums of money.
