Attorneys general file amicus brief in support of handgun age requirement

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes filed a joint amicus brief alongside 21 other attorneys general, including the attorney general of Vermont, to support the federal government’s prohibition of handguns and ammunition to those 21 and older.

Left seeks to extend voting to prisoners, noncitizens to expand base

The District of Columbia is looking to join five states — including Vermont — to allow noncitizen voting in local elections for municipal offices or school boards. Oregon advanced a bill to make the state the third in the country to allow inmates to vote, following Vermont and Maine.
